Hopefully the Pacers can win as the NBA makes its best effort to not act like it is fixed. All it comes down to is who gets the 50/50 calls in key times.

There is NO Fucking Chance the NBA has Indiana playing OKC/SA in the finals. They aren't taking 2 of the smaller TV markets and putting them in the finals. Also, built in story line for 2014-15, can LBJ do what MJ never did, win 4 in a row.

One could argue that long-term the Heat losing, and all the hooplah and coverage it would create, is better for the league. If you wanna go the angle of "bet on what makes more sense for the NBA", which I don't put much stock in personally.

I hate the word value, but assuming the pacers are worth a damn with having home court, I could see some serious plus money scenarios later on holding a pacers +300 ticket.

the nba doesnt need major markets to get good ratings anymore. look at the ratings history compared to the world series. nba is moving up, mlb is on the way down. the younger demo trends basketball and football and will watch regardless.

I can't remember a team being over +300 with HCA in a 7 game series.

I even looked this up and the only one that was close was Minnesota vs LAL in '03 after the Lakers had won 3 titles (if anyone has any others feel free to chime in, historical odds on series prices not available)

Pacers got some matchups in their favor, it'll atleast be a competitive series I think.
