7-4-1 ATS PAC-10 GAME OF THE WEEK

3-2 ATS Last Week, 38-29 For the Year all lined PAC 10 Games

This is it…last full slate of the season, with a few more games spattered about. I’m heading up to Autzen to watch my Beavers damn-up Nike U and flood the McKenzie with Orange and Black. It will be beautiful, because, the only good duck, is a dead duck.

GAME OF THE WEEK (WEEK 13)

USC –21.5 VS. UCLA

It gets too easy. You just drop a few dimes on SC and get paid. No reason to stop now, as I fully expect USC to be even more fired up after the BCS BS last week. Carroll plays it off like the sly fox that he is, but trust me, he didn’t come out of the pro ranks to win Rose Bowls. Six straight covers, 8 of 10 for the year, 15 of their past 17. That is one helleva point spread run.

USC has some key defensive injuries, but I don’t see that as a problem here because they are facing the worst offense in the Pac 10. Yes, the worst offense in the Pac 10. I know…Arizona is not real good. But UCLA is horrible, and after watching what Oregon did to them last week, holding them to 13 points, you gotta wonder what kind of offense Dorrell is trying to run. 13 points against the Ducks???? My high school team would have put up 20 against that defense. I would not at all be surprised to see USC pitch yet another shut-out.

UCLA’s defense has slipped the past two weeks, allowing 31 points in each of those games. Considering the crisp, precise offense USC is playing, they easily get to this mark. USC’s offense is hitting on all cylinders. They have gone from a run, run, pass team during the first part of the season, to a pass, pass, pass team. Mike Williams is THE BEST RECEIVER in the country in my book, hands down. He makes Leinert’s job so easy. Teams double cover Williams and…lo and behold, Keary Colbert, the most prolific receiver in USC history, is wide open on the sideline, or Reggie Bush, the next Priest Holmes/Marshall Faulk, is open in the flat.

You cannot say enough about the USC offensive line. They are the unknown factor that keeps the offense moving, and I don’t see UCLA’s vaunted defense from getting to Leinert.

USC scores 43, UCLA scores anywhere from 0 to 3….alright…0 to 10, and you go to bed Saturday $1000 richer.

Final Score: USC 43 – UCLA 10

The Rest of the Pac 10 Slate

BIG FAT ORANGE O. O as in Orgasmic, as in Oregon State Beavers!!!!. I got this line at 1.5, should be 4 by game time. I can’t remember the last time OSU was favored at Autzen, but I’m guessing it was back sometime before I was born, and I’m a 60’s baby. I’ll be there, talking smack to dem yellowbacked beeyatches and if I see Phil Knight, I’m pullin out my 50-lb. 1985 boom-box and throwing down “My Addidas” with a quick little break dance. Oregon State will de-feather the ducks. They really should dominate, they are so much better on both sides of the ball. They won’t, because Mike Riley won’t let them. But know this, the Beavers could run the ball on every play and they would win. Sure you beat Oregon through the air, so I’m sure that will be the strategy. You just run the risk of Derrick Anderson throwing four or five pics for touchdowns when you do that.

Stanford hosts Cal and I think they have a chance to win. I know, Cal looked real good last week. But Cal is up and down, and Stanford seems to play much better at home. Plus, Cal’s defense is nowhere near as good as Oregon State’s, so Stanford should get their points.

Washington State beats Washington. I can’t tell you by how much, but they are so much better defensively, so much better coached. Washington State has a chance to go BCSing if they win, so surely they will be motivated. Washington, on the otherhand, has no pride, and could care less about this game, or this coach. But I will tell you this. Washington State is not that great of a football team. They will get slaughtered by Michigan if that is the Rose Bowl match-up....Editing this. WSU-6.5 now up. I'm on the Cougars.

Final Predictions:
Oregon State -3 at Oregon: OSU 27 – Oregon 20
Cal -10 at Stanford: Cal 31 – Stanford 28
WSU at Washington: WSU 37 - Washington 21

Good luck all.

well,i`m glad to see that someone beside myself thinks stanford is a live dog......and in a rivalry game like this,i may make a very small moneyline play.....

also,i see wyoming as another"possible" live home dog that nobody,i mean nobody likes.....waiting to see how high that line will go..great passing offense vs a very weak passing defense...actually,the weakest in the mtn west(and 95th in the country).....if i can get a 9. or 9.5 i`ll buy to 10 and take my chances.....g.l.

Love "The Tree" also this week. Staying away from WSU/UW because of the health of Kegel and the helter-skelter play of the Huskies.

Love the SC play more because Bruins offensive ineptitude.

As always, appreciate your opinions.
