I know that the Hawks need a goalie, but that is alot to give up. Also, with the negative attention drawn by Thomas and much more important Rask waiting in the wings I could see Bruins pulling the trigger.

Or is this straight B.S. ?

If I'm Boston I do this in a heartbeat but I doubt the Hawks will unless there is something in the locker we don't know about

Chicago has gone on record to say Kane's not going anywhere.

Kings will probably be shopping Bernier. He's probably one of the best goalie prospects taken 11th in the draft plus he's cheap and has many years ahead of him. They could probably get him for much less than Kane. I think Bernier would be a great fit for the Blackhawks too.

Kings need scoring though, the rumor that I'm hearing is Bernier might be headed to Columbus.

If Chicago makes that deal, whoever is their GM should instantly be fired. And replaced by the Boston GM, as he's a magician if this goes through.

Why in the world would Chicago trade their 23-year old first overall draft bit from 2007, the kid that scored the OT goal that won them the Cup, straight-up for a 37-year old goaltender?
