5dimes has the correct rule with ball must be served, so played Valahly and Davenoport opponent there.

I have freinds in various sports who have no buisness where they are, atleast Tennis and golf it is somewhat based on merit.

Nice first day for me,
hit on the live dogs with Pratt, Blanco (ball served rule), and didn't miss my much fading Hantuchova.

Doubled up on Dent to cover my long shots-did not get paid because of Olympic's rules-match has to be completed.With that in mind I won't be worried about injuries to big favorites.

Lapentti's best days are behind him,but is capable of playing well on this surface..Blake is a fine player,but I have always seen him as little overrated.He made a lot of errors in his opener so let's see what happens.

Sharapova wont go far, she was down an early break,but CMG has next to nothing, her camp is worried about her ankle on these sticky courts.

Loit might get beat in 43 minutes, but this lefty Frenchy has the ability to slice and dice and could get Lindsay to make up an injury. Safin is getting to much credit, guy beat an out of form Blake and was patchy vs an untalented Valhaly and was trying harder for USSR then himself in this tourney, dont be suprised if he goes down here.
