Any system that involves betting actual money on the LA Lakers could be inherently flawed. They have these weird stretches where they basically just GIVE the other team 10 straight points. Their best chance at covering this year is just other teams getting complacent and not trying until the 5 minute mark of 4th quarter.
Systems don't take into account who is playing. I've played the shitty 76ers several times this year and am up 2 units on them. Last night was the first time I've lost with them. I'm playing them back tonight, and if they lose I'm still up with them.
Lines get inflated when you play ON crappy teams, just like any sport. I played Detroit Lions last week vs Green Bay. They are terrible, but with that being said the lines get to a point where the value lies with the bad team.
I haven't run across any situations where I have played the Lakers, but if I do I would have no problem playing them. You can't beat the book if you only play on "good" teams.
