....i never use these stupid faces, but,it`s warranted this time...

ouma claiming a back injury.....might be a smart move....phillips has looked better than at any time in his career recently...and he`s not getting any younger.....

bojourqez isn`t quick enough to beat phillips....given the way he`s looked lately.....

phillips had been inactive for 14 months prior to the first fight....and still gave ouma hell...

i wonder if ouma`s people thought it was a bad move....or maybe showtime didn`t want to waste a potential fight of the year vs a dlh/hopkins ppv card.......i really think phillips was gonna be a tough nut to crack this time around....i`m very, very disappointed...

now,the only decent fights on this weekend are the robert guerrero/enrique sanchez bout thursday night on showtime and lazcano/castillo.....and castillo has some hard miles on him...

my european friends tell me that jeff lacy has a tough opponent in tsypko.....but these euro`s tend to overrate their own guys.....allen always gives 100% and has a history of bad blood with hopkins....

not so bad....beats a sharp stick in the eye....

Youre saying that Ouma fabricated the injury?
He dosent seem like the kind of guy that would do that but I guess I wouldnt doubt it.

Jesus, one thing I know is Showtime was pumped up for the start of the year thinking they were going to bring some serious fights to the table.
EVERY big fight that they have scheduled this year has fallen apart. I dont know if it's extreme bad luck or if Showtime is not working hard enough to make these happen. It is seriously ridiculous though. And I guess the England card wont be televised next week right?

The only reason I have Showtime is for the boxing but Im seriously considering dumping it.
Im getting no bang for my buck.

no...i`m not really alleging that ouma feigned the injury..not seriously.....that`s probably my extreme disappointment talking....

but,i really think it might be smart not to put ouma/phillips up against the dlh/hopkins ppv..i think this is a fight that creates boxing fans....i`m not sure how many non-fanatics would be watching saturday night...

i personally think ouma/phillips was the best fight of the weekend(castillo/lazcano is solid) ...potentially one of the better fights so far this year....

i really doubt he feigned the injury....maybe i am over estimating phillips....but,i think this would have been one miserably tough, hardcore bout.....

maybe september or october...hopefully before phillips starts collecting social security....

almly,how you doin`, bud?......hope everything is good....

The english card on the 12 of june will be shown live via maxboxing. I guess you are a member anyway ?

Its a shame for phillips that the fight is off, but hopefully the two will meet in the near future.

also, some euro friends are trying to sell me on valeri tsypko vs jeff lacy.....

some of these guys tend to over rate their boys...but they are telling me that tsypko is a solid boxer with excellent stamina and enough pop to keep lacy honest....several are betting him...they think that if the fight goes into deep water, tsypko has a good shot...

i can`t vouch for this...i know squat about tsypko....just passing the info on...

i wouldn`t go crazy....lacy is a murderous puncher....i`m sure tsypko `s never been in with this caliber of power...

My opinion on the fights :

Cantatore should catch May sooner or later, but maybe runs for 12s and gets the decision. May has no solid chin and cuts badly and easily but Cantatore is pretty slow but if i have to i would bet Cantatore.
Its to late anyway now i believe.

Lacy vs Tsypko is a must bet imo. i would bet vitali on even odds he is a physical strong fighter with fast hands and technical skills and he can bang a little if he has too.
If the fight goes the distance Vitali should win by a wide margin, lacy has a punchers chance of course but at +300 thats part of the deal.
Vitali is totaly underpromoted even the serious boxing fans dont know him because he is never on big tv.
But he is good, strong mind and concentrated if you see him fight he looks for like 30 fights not 13.

And +2700 for Sturm on points is to high too.
I know it wont happen but i play it anyway if the judges were fair i would bet more on Sturm.
He is hungry, fast great stamina, pretty good amateur record and is a natural middleweight and DHL looked small at lightmiddleweight and he will look even worse tonight.
combine lacy and Sturm on points in a parlay and you have over 1 to 100.
Play Tsypko.

thanks,bud......i took a small morsel of tsypko at +280....i wasn`t aware that he was a lefty....that makes him a little more appealing...

i looked hard at cannatore and the over in that one....i really wasn`t "schooled" enough to step out,though...

i don`t think it`s over yet, but i took a shot at vanzie/earl over...

i`m also hearing that it`s a real chore for jose luis castillo to make lightweight....that some sharp guys expect him to be a bit drained....i have to say,i`ve never been a huge lazcano fan...he`s been moved carefully....i wonder if castillo isn`t a little dog eared at this point in his career..he`s fought much tougher opposition ..i think 3 or 4 years ago,i go big on castillo....now,i may be leaning the other way a bit....i wish i knew how many good miles castillo has left....

May fight a draw in a ugly ugly fight. Cantatore can bang but he is a whiner talking to the ref all the time and may is fighting full of fear. he was badly wobbled in the second round.
May is a cruiser version of Wladimir Klitschko WITHOUT Klitschkos formidable offensive skills, not a pretty sight.

Beyer loses to Sanavia in a split but fair decision. Beyer is a psycho he is to sensible to be a fighter or what to i know. He was fighting head to head with a smaller middleweight who outworked him. I am glad that it was a good dec in germany.
My respect for picking the over.

Tyspko with monster cut clash of heads but from what i have heard the draw was a break for tyspko because Lacy looked strong and was going to finish him off.
Alot of draws.
