Texas to win 3 game series vs LA Angels (+130)
Seattle to win 3 game series vs Oakland (+158)
Milwaukee to win 3 game series vs Colorado (-210)
Atlanta to win 3 game series vs LA Dodgers (+140)
San Diego to win 3 game series vs Florida (-130)
Some good dogs for the new series'.
Atlanta has their three best starters for their match against the Dodgers, and I like my chances to go into the third game tied 1-1 with Hudson on the mound at +140.
Texas is playing extremely good baseball lately and just won two series on the road. They should not be dogs to win a series at home, even against the Angels. I don't even have to worry about Lackey because he doesn't start until game 4 when the series bet will already be over.
Seattle is a pick that really doesn't look smart at first, but they have been playing better lately and I think that series is a toss up. Oakland still doesn't have the hitting IMO, and if you go on talent on paper Seattle has the better team. I won't be surprised if they lose this series, but I won't be surprised if they win it either. There's value at +158.
San Diego has been playing good ball lately and almost swept the D-Backs on the road. This is a pretty short line to be laying at home against the Marlins. SD might not be the best team, but I think they are better than their record.
Milwaukee is a play that I'm not in love with because of the juice, but I like their chances of taking at least two of the three, if not sweeping. They'll have McClung, Parra and either Sabathia or Sheets on the mound for the series and the Rockies have Jimenez, Redman, and Rucsh. No Francis and no Cook. Milwaukee is one of the top home teams in the league and Colorado is one of the worst road teams. I like my chances here, especially since the fans should be even more excited than usual after the CC trade.
I'm going to possibly start picking spots to play totals. I sometimes see O/U's I really like, but don't play only to see later it would have won. I won't play them every day, but I will start to play ones that I really like. The play I'm looking at today is Col/Mil U 9, but not sure if I'll pull the trigger yet. Will post later if I do.
