Other than Sports & Casinos, what's the "craziest", and most fun thing you've ever bet on?...

I've bet on some odd things since my gambling days began. As some of you might remember, my betting fever began with my friend and I putting our most valuable sports cards on the line in Madden football contests going back to its beginning. But, probably the craziest and most fun thing my buddie and I have bet on is.........We used to each stand at one end of an outdoor full basketball court, him under one goal, and me under the other goal on the other end, and lay $50 on who could throw a FOOTBALL through the hoop at the other end first! Man, those were the days!.....

one time when my brother and i were in the car, i bet him $20 that the light would turn red before i got to it. i was about 40 yards away and agreed to maintain my speed of 35 mph.

that was when i had gambling fever and settled every bar tab with the "have the waitress pull one of everyone's credit cards out of her hat...loser pays the whole bill".

Going back many years ago.. a Knick-Laker game..I was sitting with a gentlemen who was one of my best customers..Great seats..We made a bet and the winner was to buy dinner..The winner picked the restaurant..I lost and he picked the place..my treat..His limo starts up the west side highway and I am wondering where the hell we are going..We go over the GW bridge and I start getting curious.. minutes later we are at the Teeterboro Airport where his Gulfstream is fueled on the tarmac and ready to go..I ask him where we are going for dinner and this sick bastard says SPAGO..5 hours later we are sucking down brick oven pizza and specialty pasta dishes..L.A. has never been the same for me since that night..I LOVE L.A.

I actually set an O / U for the ammount of times a chic would call me within the next 2 hours after I stood her up. (she had done something to deserve it trust me.) who was buying the next case of bud was at stake. the weather was horrible that day, good boredom killer. it got funnier with each call as it approached the #.

When I college, at a party at my fraternity...

Somoen bet me that I could not smoke 4 full cigarettes in 5 minutes. Of course, i am a chain smoker, so I Said no problem. They rounded up about 30 bucks from people at the party and let me go at it. I crushed 4 cigarettes in 4 minutes, and had a minute left. Decided to try for one more to really impress everyone.

Bottom line is, I finished 5 Marlboro's in 5 minutes and collected 30 bucks. Then I turned green and passe out on a couch for about 10 minutes. My lungs are still bitter from it...

This weekend I'll have the honor, once again, to watch some great Pig Races. IMO nothing beats watching 4 future hams run around a mini track, trying to be the first across the finish line, just to munch a couple oreos. If you catch the lines on Pinacle take my advice and stay away from the Red Pig for the first half of the day. It just doesn't look "hungry" enough to win any of the early races this year. Wait for the Blue, Yellow, and Green Pig to have their fill of oreos, then pounce on the Red Pig ML towards the end of the evening.

Have done this many times with buddies for dollars. See 2 birds sitting there, nice way to waste time while drinking a beer. Pick one and hope it gets hungry first

When I was younger, I worked for a construction company during the summer. Another guy I worked with and myself, would pick out a target, a street sign, telephone pole, etc., and find 5-10 rocks per person, and bet a certain amount on who would hit the target the most times out of their throws.

Hamburger Eating Contest...Never bet on the fattest guy, they are lazy even when it comes to eating!

- How many customers on hold during sunday football rush.

- Pick a fighter without knowing the name. (black guy vs. latino guy). This is a regular.

Most of these bets were just for 5-10 colones (about 2 US cents) and to kill time.

- Who came first (with an ex). Loser had to pay....

- $100 straight up says the cleveland cavaliers don't make the second round of ht playoffs in 2004. (I really like this one)
