After restart (no new install that I know of but roommate was the last one to use it last night) it's freezing up for 10 seconds every 30 seconds or so, then it goes back to normal. I looked under task manager and System Idle Process is using most of the CPU with firefox currently using the rest. As far as memory usage, FireFox and my antivirus are the only ones using memory which is normal. I can't figure out what's going on. No new .exe's are running. Any idea what could be causing this? My computer passed both an in-depth virus AND spyware scan with flying colors.
Fixed it. I am the smartest man alive.
It was a Windows Update that was causing it. I kept ignoring the update until I fixed the problem but I gave up and figured I'd install it then restart so it would stop bugging me. Now it works fine. Also I disabled Windows Firewall which I heard causes issues. Stupid Windows. Oh well, it's working.
