I might add that I am also thinking of getting a full size Siberian Husky later on down the road, as well.

A move you wont regret, just make sure you know you can't outthink them or outrun them:toast:

I also have a big black Great Dane. She is 4 and we named her Guinness. Easily the best dog I've ever owned. Obedient and loves the kids. If you ever have the opportunity to get one don't be intimidated by their size. They are easy to care for.

miniature dappled dachshund. People give them a bad rap because of their temperament, but mine is easygoing and a great watchdog. Very loyal also.

Wouldn't mind having a Weimaraner, heard they were good dogs for kids.

My blue Dane got mistaken for a Weimaraner all the time before he got BIG...or until they saw how clumsy and lazy my Dane pup was. I knew someone who owned a Weimaraner and they can be a handful. Extremely high energy and territorial. Very loyal to the family although I have heard they aren't great with other small pets.

Very beautiful dogs.

After the first year with my new pup, I would never buy anything else. He is fantastic with the kids, hypo-allergenic, does not shed, and has just a loveable, floppy personality. He's huge though...

Golden Doodle

(would post a pic if I knew how)

Havanese (wife's lapdog)
Bernese / Gordon Setter mix that we just adopted

We had a German Shepard and she was the best dog I have ever seen.

I think German Sheppards are hands down the best dogs you can get. I know their are a lot of good breeds of dogs out there but the German Sheppard is a GREAT Dog. I have 2 of them and they are unreal

I used to own and breed pure breed /german bloodlines german shepherds, if I had known that my yellow lab was going to get as humongous as it did .....I would have gotten one to start with

anyways

dog 1) yellow lab
dog 2) dalmatian picked from the streets
dog 3) black lab mix/picked from the streets when he was about 6/8 years old
dog 4) little mutt, sort of a jack russell

little mutt has somehow overpowered the other 3 and now 'runs the house'
