For me it is:

1)Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel
2)Veronica Mars
3)Quantum Leap

There were a lot of great television shows over the years but Buffy/Angel and Veronica Mars has the best story writing and character development in my opinion.

Quantum Leap was one of those shows you actually learned something watching. I was 14 years old when Quantum Leap first ran on TV. I used to get into a lot of trouble running the streets doing teenage boy shit but no matter what I was always home to watch Quantum Leap with my older brother when it came on television.

The cable shows like Sopranos, Rescue Me and The Shield are good shows but because they only make 11-13 episodes every two years I can't give them any run for all time great shows. Besides they also get away with the use of profanity so it is a little easier to keep us entertained.

So hard to pick 3

Really liked Moonlighting, Cheers and Family Ties. If only because they have not been mentioned yet.
