OK I just quickly took a look at the shower head (could just unscrew it without a wrench)...removed it and ran the water, and the pressure it still extremely weak. So it looks like my problem isn't the head, but rather the pressure itself.
I'll take a video of it and post a link here later tonight or tomorrow.
Also, I'll get some plyers tomorrow and see if I can get that regulator thing out, just to make the shittiness a little better. I'll try to remove it by hand first later tonight, though. F you.

I'm not the level of plumber of a teddykgb, but this sounds wrong !
I never seen a showerhead that you could loosen by hand, always needed at least an adjustable wrench,channel-lock pliers,vice-grips or something like that.
It sounds very screwed up, if pressure sucks with the head off... as in it ain't the shower ruiner restrictor doohickey thingamaboob causing the problem.
Are you sure you removed the whole showerhead ? If you did that, with no tools you have some strong hands !
Is it just a pipe with some threads sticking out of the wall ?
Is the flow like as bad as the Youtube video that I linked, half a gallon a minute ?
Document it with video, break the lease if necessary, its ridicrurous if they can't fix it, so as you can take a Fucking halfway decent shower.
As a former landlord, I'd take in a tenant with video showing me his shower didn't work causing him to need to vacate the former rental unit.
It's a basic expectation in the USA.
I feel bad for you
