Anyone see this movie? The Wife wants to go so I might have to break down and take her because in three months she won't see me till after the Super Bowl.
Heard on TV last nite from the host of ths show The Big Idea it was one of the funniest movies he had ever seen. Made me want to go see it. Take it for what it is worth.

It's fucking terrible. I've never been more disappointed leaving a theatre. The first 45 minutes are OK. The rest of the movie is unwatchable. Everything about this movie suggested a comedy, and that's not even close to what it becomes in the last hour. It's a story about how a dorky fat guy matures into a productive member of society. It's not a comedy. Seth Rogen was good as a sidekick but terrible as a star. Only Paul Rudd saved the movie from being a total disaster.
I saw it last night and really liked it. It reminded me a lot of 40 year old virgin. I believe the producer and writer were the same as for the Virgin. It had it's slow parts but what doesn't.
this movie was fucking hillarious. it is somewhat intellectual comedy, though. you cannot be a retard and get alot of the jokes. i laughed the entire movie. absolutely genius writing. smartass wouldnt know a good, funny movie if it hit him in the face
