I am looking for a good tv, with a good price, I wouldn't be one that would say Price is no problem.

I know this is the internet, where everyone makes 100,000 doing nothing, and bets $1,000's on every game on the board.... But that isn't me.

I am looking for a nice tv and a good price and I have heard that Vizio is a pretty nice TV.

Is that a good name brand? I haven't bought a TV in years and Have a bigscreen that looks like a juke box (size) and probably weighs 300lbs.

I am looking for a decent TV.. Plasma, LCD (whatever that means) and have no real knowledge on what I should look for.

Thanks Betall

For the last couple of Years, Vizio has been up there with some of the Best names.
Sure there are Better Brands ( Sony & LG to name a few ) But for the mOney ( $700-$1100 ) for a 42" is pretty good.

All my TV's are Sony's, but I'm due for a New one in the Living room.
And I will be getting a Vizio. Because a Friend of mine bought Two of them in Dec. He Loves them and when I was over there, couldn't believe what a Great Picture it had.

Believe it or not, you can find them at Walmart !! He said Bestbuy really doesn't carry them. He went to Walmart to pick up one of them, and BJ's to pick up the other.

Just called him to ask what size he got and he said Both are 42"
He said to get the LCD HDTV with Digital Turner. That's one of the Newest that they came out with.

Is this what I am looking for? $879 doesn't seem too bad, I would do that, if this is the right TV

Also CP, have you bought from this site? Is it ok?

Thanks CP and Betall, if that is the TV I will order it now

He said it's not the same one. But he asked me to send him the Ad.

He said it's a Good one and seems to be a Great Deal. But said to Try BJ's or Costco and see if they carry it. You might save $50-$100

If I were you, I'd consider nothing less than a Samsung. Might cost you more money, but let's face it, you keep a TV over ten years so how much more are you actually spending?

I bought my 46" Samsung LCD at Fry's for $1409. I've never seen a better picture. It came with 120 mhz for a clearer picture.

By the way, here's a suggestion to you and any of you that may already have an LCD and haven't done.

The manufacturers always turn the contrast up to it's highest point or 100%. Go to your controls and lower the contrast. You'd be surprised how much it improves the picture.
