This is ridiculous.
Sincerity has nothing to do with anything. The more sincere, the bigger the scammer.
WVU, I know you are smarter than this, and I think I am on to your game of testing the waters. I am sure that you already realize that he is in debt all over the place with physical credit reports attached to all of those debts. That means, even if he isn't out to scam you, you are the LAST person who will get paid back. All of those other payments are attached to his credit report and are being tracked. Yours isnt. He will never have enough money to pay you back.
Sure, he obviously made bad choices. Overspent. Went for the car payment. He has not exhausted all other options yet. He needs to sell his car first and foremost. No if's, and's, or but's. And that would be my first sign of good faith. Sacrifices have to be made on his end besides disclosure of information and a bunch of promises and a random interest rate. Sorry. He needs to get a bike, or a scooter - ASAP. Those are the sacrifices that he has to make. This is the real world.
Not to mention, above all, he is on a gambling message board. First claimed he didnt gamble. Then $10 bets..."at the most $20." I mean he's already bending and changing his story. He's on other forums talking about systems.
Even if he has good intentions, he doesnt realize that he will never be able to pay this back, and the lender on this site, will be the last to see his money.
If a stranger, hell, if your best friend lent you money, you would pay all of your other debts first. THEN pay your friend.
The 100% interest rate cashcall...just tells me that he felt he could take a quick loan out....make a few bets, cash out and pay that thing back.
