I was wondering if anyone else noticed that too. Mom and dad will cut him a check for the $6k. They are already pissing away 30k/year for him to major in psychology.

I caught this bullshit too. It should take an additional 1 year or 2 years MAX to double major.

When was I a Psych Major...?

My School is 15k a year...

Eventually it will go up to 30 when I transfer but my parents have saved a lot on my schooling compared to my sisters...

Where do you come up with your bullshit....

can you continue to tell us how you wouldn't give Scarlett Johanson a second look on the street...? Because no chick is attractive to you haha

Looks like he meant DOUBLE DEGREE, not major. I edited my post. It would be an additional 40-50 credits to get a 2nd degree rather than double major.

Its too bad this youngster is already in debt to Cash Call, and late on his payments to other creditors.

At the risk of coining an old phrase, "Its a small world" get this.

I own horses. My trainer is Rick Plano, at Cal Expo. J. Paul Reddam also has some horses in Ricks care, and is the founder, and owner of Cash Call in Fountain Valley, California. Reddam founded the mortgage powerhouse Ditech.com and sold it to GMAC recently for $475 million. He gambles, loves horses, so we have something in common. Also, when my friend was down on his luck, Reddam hired him at Ditech and paid him well, on my recommendation. Since then (1994), our relationship is good.

Paul is a nice guy, and I most likely could have swung the loan for the kid, if I knew a little about him, could vouch for him, and or if his credit picture was a little better.

What are those odds?

Good Guy...I remember when he had horses with Jack Parker jr. at the Meadowlands.
I knew about Ditech, but not Cash call !

Well desination sent me his credit report. Give me a little while to go over it and determine the risk here.

At least I know that he is a real person. He does live in Ohio as well, but I probably shouldnt give out the city.

Seems a bit old to a college junior though

I never loan money to a guy who doesnt have an avatar. Just seems shady.

If a bunch of the rollers on here want to chip in im in, but 6k you have to be a little closer that I can visit you if payment is not made.

I agree..the person that will lend the money needs to be bear where he is.

I was in education for awhile, before I decided to switch my major. The reality of the time that the public school system was a joke under Governor Taft, and I decided to go into a major that I liked just as much and would make more money (health care administration).

This is ridiculous.

Sincerity has nothing to do with anything. The more sincere, the bigger the scammer.

WVU, I know you are smarter than this, and I think I am on to your game of testing the waters. I am sure that you already realize that he is in debt all over the place with physical credit reports attached to all of those debts. That means, even if he isn't out to scam you, you are the LAST person who will get paid back. All of those other payments are attached to his credit report and are being tracked. Yours isnt. He will never have enough money to pay you back.

Sure, he obviously made bad choices. Overspent. Went for the car payment. He has not exhausted all other options yet. He needs to sell his car first and foremost. No if's, and's, or but's. And that would be my first sign of good faith. Sacrifices have to be made on his end besides disclosure of information and a bunch of promises and a random interest rate. Sorry. He needs to get a bike, or a scooter - ASAP. Those are the sacrifices that he has to make. This is the real world.

Not to mention, above all, he is on a gambling message board. First claimed he didnt gamble. Then $10 bets..."at the most $20." I mean he's already bending and changing his story. He's on other forums talking about systems.

Even if he has good intentions, he doesnt realize that he will never be able to pay this back, and the lender on this site, will be the last to see his money.

If a stranger, hell, if your best friend lent you money, you would pay all of your other debts first. THEN pay your friend.

The 100% interest rate cashcall...just tells me that he felt he could take a quick loan out....make a few bets, cash out and pay that thing back.

Even if I don't lend this guy the money at least I gave his thread a jumpstart and some hope. Seriously though, If this guy had even a few grand to pay off some of the loans then he would then have a high enough credit score to get a prosper loan. With constructive money movement and clearing limit space on his revolving accounts this guy should be able to get his credit to 650 with some effort. Once he does he could get a 10 or 15k loan from Prosper paying about 18-19% interest.

Yeah... Full Time Junior right now... Not going to be done for 5 or 5 1/2 years though... Double Majoring...

Um Destination is being a moron... The odds I fund him are at about 5% but the fact that you are willing to give out your Social, Address, Phone Numbers, Drivers License number and what not to a stranger over a forum is pure stupidity... Someone could just meet with you exchange that info and never contact you...

Then he can steal your identity and put you in more CC debt then you are already in.

haha good idea man... i wish i was doing that i finished up last winter and i wish i was back at school so bad.

cap his picks, not his credit. it all depends on his picks. He likes FSU in week1 and wants to hammer big favorites vs small conference schools both of which seem suspicious to me.

Well I was going through his credit report, and I dont believe that I will be able loan him too much money. He has considerable debts out right now.

He just had a credit union run a credit report on him just today. So he is trying to get money from everywhere right now!

Can someone tell me approximately what interest rate this is from cashcall?? I think that it is around 100%. Of course it is hard to tell exactly since we dont know the starting amount of the loan. But it isnt hard to tell since it was opened on July 1st.

Account Name: CASHCALL INC
Account Number: xxxxxxxx
Acct Type: Note Loan
Acct Status: Open
Monthly Payment: $216.00
Date Open: 7/1/2007
Balance: $2,600.00
Terms: 42 Months
High Balance:
Limit:
Past Due:
Payment Status: Current

Well of course he is current with this loan since he hasnt had to make a payment yet. But if you multiply the 42 months by the $216 payment, then you get around $9000. Now I know that cashcall is a bad deal for anyone, but this is just horrendous. Problem being is that most people who are willing to accept an interest rate like this WILL NEVER be able to pay the $216 a month. I wonder if they allow you pay off early at a reduced rate??

Oh yes guys, he cant give anyone the car since he has a loan on that as well and still owes over $3800 on it. So that explains why he cant get a second loan out with that car as collateral. No bank would give him more than $2000 loan using his car as collateral and they may not do it at all. His monthly payment on the car is below $200, so that is fine. Of course for that amount of money, he could have bought a brand new Hyundai or cheap brand new Honda and he could get great gas mileage. But too late now.

Des, you need to pay off ALL OF THESE small loans ASAP on your credit report and that will help your credit history greatly.

He is actually a student, since he received his last student loan in january. Although it was a very small amount for a student loan and in comparison to the other student loans.

The main problem with loaning him the money would be that you would be LAST IN LINE to get paid each month. Obviously, he is going to pay these other loans first and that makes up around $700 a month not including the educational loans which are in deferrment.

Can someone figure out the interest rate on the loan above?? I know that it is high, but I cant tell the exact rate from the info given.

Also, I am not totally sure that this is his information, but it does match the name on his email address at least and from the same state.

This freecreditreport site is a real bitch though. It logs you off after 20 minutes NO MATTER WHAT!! And they have a ton of popups!! I have a popup blocker, but it doesnt block these! Nothing is really free these days
