but he could also watch you when you are taking a bath LOL

Admittedly every RxForum member's secret dream.

But I gotta tell you I take really gay bubble baths with candles so you can't really see anything good, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

The neighborhood where I grew up (1969-1982) actually has held up and even taken a slight bump up in overall appearance.

My dad was never much for the lawn and landscaping and our front yard was ragged grass with just a few beaten down shrubs. Plus we had a ragged wooden fence that was like 20 years old.

Now the front lawn is all landscaped with nice big shrubs, a couple of decent sized trees (can't believe it's been 25 years) and a nice solid looking fence. And the neighboring houses are all remodeled and yards neat.

Last year at this time I had checked out our old address and the house was actually for sale (4BR, 3B, 2G) at $187,000.

Similar house, hood etc here in Pinellas County would be about $250K+

Couldn't talk the SheBar into moving back to Dallas though.

I cant seem to get mine to work. I put in 3 different address' around me and all of them have the "street view" icon to click on but nothing changes when I do. I put in a couple other address' in another state and the "street view" icon doesnt even appear. Am I doing something wrong?

LOL. You can see my grandmother walking into her garage.

Oh yeah...heh...I forgot to post on that similar happening

We pulled up SheBar's sister's address in Long Island. It's a short dead-end block off Long Island Ave and on the day the GoogleCar rolled by with the camera, Sis and Bro-in-Law are walking together in their winter coats up towards the corner.

The photo appears to be sometime in winter because there's a small amount of snow on the edges of the house lawns.

The system started with five cities in May 2007 (see the Wikipedia entry I posted on Page One of this thread) and is now into 40 cities.

Post one of the addresses near you and I'll check it out.

you can pay a fee and subscribe to Google Earth for live feeds. Much of what you see on the free side could be over a year+ old. I was talking to a lady whose daughter went to college. She paid for the subscription and while talking to her daughter the daughter could go out on the pirch and wave and presto there she is...fuckin crazy stuff..

I call bull$hit. There's advanced maps out there, but a real-time feed, no way that exists. The speeds required to do that don't exist (at least not to the public).

I see why you were confused.

The "Street Map" that you see to the top left is not a working link.

When it's a location that's been mapped in this fashion, the "Street Map" link is within that popup bubble pointing to the listed address.

So your location has not yet been mapped with this tool.

AND TO think I pondered this as maybe being a cool gig to see the world:

People In Scuba Gear Chase Google Street View Car With Pitchforks (PHOTOS)

Anti-Google sentiment has been on the rise in Europe, where many are concerned that the company may be seeing, taking, and publishing too much, and so have pranks on Google.

We recently wrote about a group of pantless Germans who pranked the Google Steet View car by flashing it when it drove by.

Now it seems that more mischief-makers--this time from Norway--are causing a ruckus.

Two Norwegians dressed in scuba gear ambushed a Google Street View car when it passed them in Bergen, Norway.

As the series of pictures below demonstrate, the duo waited on lawn chairs, then, when the Google Street View car finally puttered by, got up and chased after the car (and camera) while waving a pitchfork in the air.

The Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reported on the Google car fracas. (Read the auto-translated version here.)

It's not clear from the newspaper report what motivated the pitchfork ambush, although it coincides with growing distrust in Europe for Google. Privacy advocates, concerned citizens, and even government officials have expressed concern with Google Street View, which they believe may violate privacy rights. As NBC reports, 'The European Union wants Google to notify citizens of its 27 member states before it takes a picture of them or their property.'
