the land of Big Brother is ahead of the US in citizens surveillance by a long shot

true story

I was in one of the Tube stations a year ago (I think it was Charing Cross for the ones familiar with London)

I NEVER saw any sign that said "no pictures" or anything like that and I am normally very conscious of that stuff

I took a picture of my wife standing next to the Tube sign ............not even 5 seconds went by before a loud speaker was announcing

"PASSENGERS ARE ADVISED THAT FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE PREMISES IS NOT ALLOWED"

You can imagine my reaction of "oh shit, I am sorry" :nohead:

tint your front windshield with a lite glaze,%^_ when the light flashes it will look like its a natural sunflash, and they wont prosecute you for EVADEING the ticket,(everyone in the car is UNRECOGNIZABLE) Ive tinted the front windshield of my 3 cars, and Ive been flashed on 10-12 times in the last 4 years here in AZ, Ive never seen ticket or letter 1, all of my addresses and insurances are currentl so if they wanted to get ahold of me they easily could,,,

I dont have License plate prisms ut Im thinking of buying a couple

That doesn't make any sense. The red light cameras a civil fine. They could give a rat's ass whose driving the car. They will take a picture of the plate and mail the ticket to the registered owner. If you let somebody else drive your car and they go through the red light cameras then you're getting the ticket, not them.

That's why you get a reflector panel for your license plate. Combine it with the reflector spray that you use on top of that and you stand a very good shot at not being identified by a red light camera. There are many brands out there.

Trust me, things like this will save you a shit ton of money in a very short period of time if you live anywhere where these things are common.

But where's the fun in that? :103631605

Seriously, though, some of the lights around here change so goddamn fast, you will get caught sooner or later if you keep going when it changes to yellow. You should see some of the one's we have at intersections around malls here. Unreal!

Definitely a lucrative business for the government.

You make it sound like these cameras are a good thing...I hate them.

Doesn't surprise me UK is big on these though - they have TONS of cameras everywhere.

Why don't you guys just drive the speed limit?

I drive any faster than the speed limit, I'm afraid my beer is going to spill.

wrong, Not in AZ. I believe the rule is if there is 5 or more tix they will send someone to your house to deliver a summons.

but again it is part they have to see your face (or someones face) and if your trying to EVADE the tix they will nail you.

Hence my suggestion to the light tint glaze,,, its not OVERT, AND they will chalk it up to just a bad photo.:103631605

I got a ticket in Italy just mailed to me from 6 months ago which stated the policeman couldn't pull me over because it may have hampered traffic. Bunch of crap - 200 Euro ticket for going 10kilometers an hour over limit.
