OT: DeNiro or Pacino

Is it just me or can Scarface be one the the MOST overated movies ever. I like it but just dont think it was that great to deserve all the hype it gets.

Pacino as Ricky Roma in Glengarry was one of my all time favorite roles!

Di Niro. Pacino had some bizzare face lift. Diniro on GoodFellas and Las Vegas movie with Sharon Stone the best. Pacino in Scarface all time great too. Heard someone here hasnt seen Scarface.Cant believe that.

I 3rd the motion for Pacino in Glengary...excellent movie and performance as most people have never seen it. An all star cast in the stage play adapted movie. However, De Niro is so versatile he gets " my vote." :thumbsup2:

Agreed, Glengary a very underated movie. Probably Mamet's best written play. And that is saying a lot.

Deniro overall. I like Pacino alot but he has been out 'acted' by Russell Crowe also in 'The Insider.'

A excellent DeNiro performance people might not remember was as the slow witted ill catcher from "Bang The Drum Slowly". Funny thing is Pacino has played alot of cops (Serpico, Insomnia, Sea of Love, Heat) yet I don't remember DeNiro every doing one which is odd. Has he????

De Niro did play a cop in that Sly Stallone "overweight" picture. The name escapes me at the moment. It was a supporting role however.

"Copland". Never saw it though. I do remember one now he did recently where he had a son with a drug ploblem. "City by the Sea" I think. Ok movie.

DeNiro in "Scent of a Woman" would NOT have won an Oscar. Like both hard to choose. And DeNiro did not steal "Heat", Pacino was great.
