Just noticed my prescription expired and I'd rather not pay a few hundred for an eye exam since the contacts I have work just fine. Any way to get around the fact that it expired?

I've got some -125, -150's - The new Accuvue that I don't like. What's your script? They've tightened up the regs in the past few years. I used to just pick an Eye Dr from the phone book and use it online. They check now. Walmarts have eye docs, $100 for the exam.

I'm blind as hell. -650 and -700.

I thought I was bad at at around -450, -500.

Being that myopic, you probably should get the exam.

And I thought the -2.50 I just loaded up on were bad.

My TV is probably 6 feet from my face I can't see it well without squinting (or eye wear of course).

Yea, at that rate he might of got worse. The exact same thing happened to me. wrecked the frames and found out I got almost a point worse.

Eye exam should only run you like 80 though, if you don't get all the extra crap.

same for me, (can't see alarm clock-ever!) ...which sucks because you have to buy separate boxes...and my doc gave me oasys back in january and my eyes are constantly red.

i tried to go to walmart and buy acuvue advance..which had been working perfectly well...but the doc wouldn't approve and said that i would have to come in for another exam. bs.

they said that all online places check with your doc as well...so you are probably out of lizuck

I guess if it's only $80 that's not too bad, even though I feel like I'm getting ripped off paying anything when my eyesite hasn't changed in years.

Up until last month, I was ordering from 1-800-Contacts.com on a three year expired prescription for, er, three years but I got denied this time. I was glad I did--it was a great experience. I don't hink it was more than $50 for an exam and $50 for a contact lens "fitting".

I got these new Acuvue Oasys (I think that's what they're called) that are fantastic.

I've done it w/out a prescription the last few years but I lost the link and can't remember it.
It was an Asian company that shipped them from the state of Washington.
Never had a problem they were shipped priority mail.

I have to get a new supply but I still haven't found the website.
