Which is the best one to get? Samsung or LG? Should I get 720P or does it pay to spend the extra couple hundred and get 1080P? I do not play video games, do not have Blue Ray Disc. TV will be used to watch TV, mostly sports.

Any suggestions????

The thing is I do not play video games. From what I have heard, there are little to no stations that are broadcasting in 1080P right now. I do not have Dish Network or Direct TV. I have Comcast, which I heard does not broadcast in 1080P right now.

I have an Aquas 32 incher 720P

from what i was told there is barely a noticeable difference on a screen 37 inches and below between 720 and 1080

Unless you sit like an inch away from screen you will really see the same HD quality on the 720P.

On a larger size than i would say the difference in cost between 1080 to 720 is worth it, but not on a 32 inch

i have a samsung plasma 32 inch in one of my bedrooms and i love it. has been great. couldnt tell you about how much of a diff there is b/w 1080, etc. but mine is 1080, picture is very clear and the TV has that nice shiny black edge around the border so it is actually a nice looking TV - decoration wise.

Pioneer is the best TV by far, but is priced as such.

Once you get into the next tier of TVs, Samsung and Philips are the way to go for the best combo of performance and price. I have owned both and Samsung is better, IMO.

I bought my samsung like 2 years ago and it was about $3500 or $4K at the time. It pisses me off to see it going for much cheaper these days.

I have a 32 in Samsung and it's awesome. I did plenty of research before buying it and I think I made the right choice.

if you're talking plasma, look into panasonic. they have the best.

I would try to go with Samsung if you're looking at lcd.

both are awesome, I just picked up a 42" panny plasma about a month ago for $550 from Best Buy(on sale + a $200 panny rebate)

If you ask me, 720 is great, and from what I have read the difference is minimal.

yes. i actually purchased another television yesterday. Samsung 1080p is the way to go. The picture quality is def worth the few extra bucks. If your big into movies, or Blue Ray then I guess LG is your best option. This is coming from the gal from Best Buy I was hooking up with and sold me my television.

I have a 32" Samsung 720p in the bedroom. I just bought a Panasonic 58" Plasma for the family and because of it's bigger size I went with 1080p. You will not be able to tell the difference on the 32" so save the $$ and Bet Miami tomorrow.
