For $72 million, 4 years. Not sure how I feel about that. Seems like a lot of money. I'm aware that QB's are scarce right now but he didn't show me a lot last year. Seems like he has a lot of potential and he's young.

What do you guys think?

playoffs 3 out of the next 4 years. maybe 4 out of 4. Very bold, but that's how much this team needed a QB that could get positive yards on a potentially negative play. Brock can do that. Perfect addition for the Texans.

Not my money, so I dont care how much they spend. They have never had a QB, they have never drafted a real qb. So they can spend all they want to get one that might work. He was the best available, sat 4 years in Denver, behind Manning...thats better than what rookies know

out of 32 teams, I think 21 others still make more money than Brock...

Jimmy Sexton is the best agent in football (college or pro). While Elway played the waiting game
(didn't talk to Sexton for over a week) ole Jimmy was out nailing down a 4 year deal with $37 million
guaranteed with Houston.

Someone tell the forum who Elway is going to replace Osweiler with?

Unfortunate how the Brock situation worked out for the Broncos as he was drafted by Elway, was even a friend of his son and was groomed for 4 years under Manning. But as well all know, money talks and the Texans were willing to pay big bucks for a QB that has only started in 7 NFL games and only had 1 season in college as a starter, he's probably started 20 games since high school. Stats were not great last year, maybe in the 23-25 ranking as far as QBs go but is well liked in locker room and has good leadership qualities, plus the Manning under-study factor. He was drafted before the Kubiak era and I don't think he's a great fit for Kubiak's offense, not really that mobile and at 6'7" moves awkwardly and is a big target for defenders to key on also has somewhat of a sidearm motion and gets lots of balls batted even at that height.

Broncos were high enough on rookie Trevor Siemian from Northwestern to keep him on the 53 man roster last year, he's got a better arm and mobility so likely a better fit for this system, but very green. Rumor has it that they are going after Kapernick from San Fran who would be a good fit for this offense will his mobility and arm strength. I guess RG3 would be another option, but his rocky relationship with Shanny who is still close to Kubiak might make that move not as likely.

It has been proven that you don't need a top qb to win a super bowl. Houston is a legit contender now. They'll lose to some bad teams I'm sure, but they will be in just about every game, unlike this past year where they were humiliated by halftime a lot of games.

Amen to that. I think having a young QB who followed under Manning is a nice addition to any roster. The Texans pass defense improved a lot from years past.

Come on guys...all of a sudden Houston pays big bucks for an unproven QB and they
are the anointed ones. Yeah, and Hilliary Clinton ain't a liar.

as bad as the quarterback play in Denver was and they still won the superbowl, I think they upgrade with any jackass that gets under center.

having said this...I also guarantee the Jaguars will beat them at least once this year. Houston wipes up the rest of the division though.

Overpaid for sure, but I guess that is what any team has to do with a free agent qb these days.
Say 9-7, weak secondary and o-line
