Dustin Lance Black </td> </tr> </tbody></table>
The Oscar winner for best original screenplay used his acceptance speech as a pro-homosexual soapbox tonight, promoting same-sex marriage and federal equal rights for "gays" and lesbians.

Dustin Lance Black won his Academy Award for writing "Milk," the story of Harvey Milk, the first openly homosexual man to be elected to major public office in America. Milk was portrayed by Sean Penn in the film set in San Francisco in the 1970s. Penn was awarded the Oscar for best actor.

The emotional Black stated in his acceptance speech:
When I was 13 years old, my beautiful mother and my father moved me from a conservative Mormon home in San Antonio, Texas to California, and I heard the story of Harvey Milk. And it gave me hope. It gave me the hope to live my life. It gave me the hope one day I could live my life openly as who I am and then maybe even I could even fall in love and one day get married.

I wanna thank my mom, who has always loved me for who I am even when there was pressure not to. But most of all, if Harvey had not been taken from us 30 years ago, I think he'd want me to say to all of the gay and lesbian kids out there tonight who have been told that they are less than by their churches, by the government or by their families, that you are beautiful, wonderful creatures of value and that no matter what anyone tells you, God does love you and that very soon, I promise you, you will have equal rights federally, across this great nation of ours.

Thank you. Thank you. And thank you, God, for giving us Harvey Milk.
Sean Penn also promoted the homosexual agenda during his own acceptance speech for best actor, saying, "We've got to have equal rights for everyone."
He first addressed the audience as "You Commie homo-loving sons of guns."

Rumors? Doc, it's obvious that you're a flaming homosexual. You're posts always include references to men and gay activities.

I made a phone call to the Austin PD and they confirmed you have several arrests for picking up male prostitutes.

Pretty sickening.

Sean Penn is such a tool. One side of his mouth, praised Obama, then bashes anyone who doesn't approve of gay marriage. (hey, dumb ass, guess who's against gay marriage? That's right, your messiah, Barack.)

Sean Penn is an exceptional actor. Glad he won. I don't really care about his political or social views. Not why I watch movies.

Funny how the GOP was all against Gay Marriages under Bush

hmmmm .... I guess that changed when:

1) Larrry Craig was caught trying to blow a cop

2) Mary Cheney and "partner" Heather Poe started raising a child

3) Bush Pray Leader in the WH Ted Haggard got busted having "manly" sex
with his Male Meth dealer

4) Bush hired a Male Homo escort owner to be a Plant in the WH Press Corp

5) Hastert covered for Mark Foley and his Underage Male Page scandal

THERE IS A GOOD REASON THE GOP is known as the GAY OL PARTY

Get lost Republicans on your bullshit Morals ... hell ... Palin was fucking her
husband's business partner and her unmarried teenage daughter was getting banged !!!

What a fuckin embarrassment the GOP has become ..... touting Christ for those clowns is equal to John Daly touting being sober !!
Uh Oh poliically incorrect statement about Alcoholic golfers...Practice what you preach.

The entire divide really separated withe Reagan's run

the GOP is a racist built party that sells fear like the Nazis and go
look at the history and see the tie-ins and listen to the bullshit from
folks like Malkin and Limbaugh who should be wearing an Imperial
Wizards hood when he does his show

we are watching America burn from within like Rome did .....

Pretty much sums it up. What really cracks me up is how the GOP is parading Michael Steel and Bobby Jindal in their bullshit attempts to integrate the Republican party.

It's only window dressing. They'll whore their children out before they'd allow their party to integrate. Don't believe the hype.

I thought last sunday's Oscars was a terrefic show and I enjoyed watching it. I am sorry if anyone else who watched does not feel that way.

I watched pretty much the whole thing and I didnt feel like it had some homosexual overtone or anything.

A gay man was happy that a movie about an influential gay person won an award and gave a speech that said as much. Wow. Get over it.

This is just as shallow, short sighted and misleading as the Dominoes thread.

Sean Penn is the shit! Who could ever forget Jeff Spicolli in Fast Times?? Played great roles as a torn undercover cop in State of Grace and a castoff / greatfull brother in The Game. I'm sure he's had even better roles in other movies I haven't seen yet.

Have yet to see Milk either but I will shortly.

How you feel about him now that he did a gay mans role?

As far as Fest's assement, there wasn't anything remotely close to a homo agenda. All I saw was that one co-actor who won an award and said his speech about the nations progress towards homosexuality. Personally I thought Penn was a stand up guy for calling the protesters acts as "shameful"

Ok. Now let me share a very clear point that I guess you missed.

Sean Penn made an outlandish inflammatory statement about
everyone who voted for Prop. 8:

“I think that it is a good time for those who voted for the ban against gay marriage to sit and reflect and anticipate their great shame and the shame in their grandchildren’s eyes if they continue that way of support. We’ve got to have equal rights for everyone.”

The fact is, Prop. 8 passed, because the majority of voters in
California, and this country think gay marriage is a sham. So, shame
on Sean Penn for attacking me and my grandchildren for my moral
stances.

Of course there was an agenda, did you not notice Dustin Black's attack
on the Mormon church? Do you think it was a coincidence that the
Mormon church was a big supporter of Prop 8?

How hypocritical, both you and Penn wouldn't have been calling
out the protesters if they were protesting FOR gay marriage
instead of against it.

Besides, this thread is not about Penn's comments after the awards,
it's his BS comments (and Dustin's) during the ceremony.

I watched more than half of it. I'm not gay so it made me a bit uncomfortable to watch the scenes where two men are all over each other. They are brief, but I kind of just had to look away.

However; the story is very good and you would never guess Penn was the guy who bang'n Madonna in her prime, because of how he just wraps himself up in the role. He absolutely deserved that award.

It's okay ZIT. Your currently non-existent grandchildren won't miss a beat in future years due to anything said by then HallofFame Actor Sean Penn.

MEANWHILE, my own interest in OscarWorthy films has us wanting to go see The Reader asap, and also to get over to the Tampa IMAX theatre across the bay before they stop running The Dark Knight which I've so far only seen on regular big screen theatre.
