Oscar is going to win this fight. The more I think about it the more sure I am. And I'm almost positive that it wont be by knockout. In my opinion this prop has great value at +472, I've already put a nickel on it and will probably put a little more if Gatti comes thru next week.

Oscar has the speed advantage and an even bigger hand speed advantage. He also has more big fight competition and more experience against quality opposition. He is also going commando in training for this fight. The overrated Bernard Hopkins is going to get outboxed in this fight. You'll see.

I also will be making a play on the over for this fight once I see a line on it. Assuming the price is right.

How about this senario. The "first" fight is
an Oscar win or draw. Rematch city; mucho denaro. Hopkins is going to go bye-bye soon.
He will grab all the cash he can and ride off
into the sunset. Oscar is the cash cow. Am I
insinuating something unethical here? Heaven
forbid! This is boxing of course, where we
NEVER seen any strange goings on, does we?
Expect the unexpected.

Not gonna happen. Shady stuff does happen in boxing but not on this level. Neither of these guys would throw a fight.

What was it that Donald Rumsfeld, the Defense
Sec. said about a year ago, " we know Iraq has
weapons of mass destruction and we KNOW where
they are". Yea right. Not a "fixed" anything.
Fights are not supposed to be fixed, but perhaps a more subtle and more accurate term
would be ORCHESTRATED. Some situations in life
can be so well designed and laid out as to
almost predict a conclusion. Actually, it's my
belief that the biggest frauds are committed
at the highest levels. Just my opinion.

so many rumors flying around regarding a potential fix here.....

if hopkins wins,he can probably get a huge...reallly huge payday vs say, tarver or roy jones.....

and a loss to either guy..at age 40..both bigger guys, wouldn`t tarnish that legacy nearly as much as a loss to little oscar....

would he get that much more in an oscar rematch than a jones or tarver bout?.....i don`t know...

hopkins is a strange bird....he`s about the money....

but,imo,losing to dlh,destroys his legacy....utterly destroys it....

all the naysayers that claim that hopkins has never moved up in weight to challenge better competiton...that said that bernard has basicallly NO major wins vs real middleweights that are considered great....

his only win that really gets anybody`s attention was vs blown-up welterweight felix trinidad.....

hopkins has an awful lot riding on this bout...if he gives a damn about his legacy.....

he`d better...or i`m in some trouble...

btw...anybody think that shopworn oleg maskaev has a shot vs 34 year old protected david defiagbon friday?...

maskaev, even at this late date is by far the best thing defiagbon has seen...and to have never stepped up at age 34...that indicates something,imo....

defiagbon is tall....but not a huge puncher....

+120 right now....and might be moving up....

just a thought...opinions welcomed...

I really don't see how losing a close one, say
a majority decision, is so bad for Hopkins. So
folks will say Oscar just outboxed him but it was a good fight, blah, blah, blah. Sure, just
keep feeding the public bullcrap and they say
"hmmm, that was so tasty, can I have some more"? And the Bob Arums and Don Kings of the world are only to happy to oblige. I would'nt
bet that there is a hidden agenda here, but only that prudence may be a good bet.

Franks trust me, this fight aint going to be fixed. Youre getting Elvisish on me. Hopkins wont have to throw anything because he's going to get outboxed. The boxing public and alot of you guys have way overrated his ability. It will be exposed in this matchup. And then you all will be coming back here saying god damnit Eric I should of listened to you.

Well, I do tend to agree with the outboxed idea
here. Oscar can box. Hopkins is also one tough SOB. If I was going to wager, I would also take
the golden child by dec. Going Elvisish! Ha-ha
very good! How the hell did you even figure out how to spell that?

Hey pal I'm still trying to find a place that will show the Freitas fight. Let me know if you hear of one. Alot of the books show HBO fights but I'm having trouble finding a place that shows Showtime fights. Do you know of a local bar that shows HBO fights? I can call one of them. Vegas is a fight town so Im thinking that theyre bars that show fights around, not just Sportsbooks.
