This texas lineup has put up good numbers and they recently went through a stretch vs Tampa, cleveland and KC where it looked like they just couldnt lose a game - however since returing home from KC they have split a series with minnesota and today apparently will be dropping erickson in favor of wasdin who has not pitched in the majors for a month.
Bedard for the Os has been shaky himself notably getting rocked by toronto and expelled from the game in 2.2 innings after giving up 6 hits and 7 runs.
prior to that outing he had put together 3 decent outings - yet only resulting in one win (when his team decided to hit a little (vs texas when they won 9-1. He may well be done if he gives up a blunder today - but however shaky he has been - he has at least been consistent in one regard, that he'll throw a couple of crappy games and come back for a few games with a decent outing. I'm betting that this will occur today after the texas lineup had an easy time out last night vs Mulholland.
I am not saying the Os are "due" for a win - because following that theory a few games ago I RElearned that lesson, all I am saying is that this is probably their best chance to win in a while - and the law of averages at some point will rear its crafty head.

Wasdin for Erickson
The Rangers are planning to add John Wasdin to the rotation today and drop Scott Erickson.
Erickson, who has been in the bullpen the last three games, will likely be designated for assignment. The Rangers may try him in Triple A for the next couple of weeks to see if he can get straightened out for the stretch run.
"Everything is up in the air," Erickson said. "Other than, that I don't have anything to say.".
Wasdin made six starts for the Rangers earlier this season, going 1-2 with a 7.76 ERA before being sent back to Triple A Oklahoma.
The Rangers are promoting right-handed pitcher John Hudgins to Triple A Oklahoma to replace Wasdin. Hudgins was the Rangers' third-round pick in the 2003 draft and was 5-3 with a 3.13 ERA at Double A Frisco.
