No offense, but you do realize that deaths come from infections, right? The US leads the world in Covid19 infections today with 140,000. Mortality is currently approx 4%, and may go higher because of lack of beds, ventilators and other health necessities.
Also the rate of infection, which is currently 20K per day, is increasing. Even with a non increasing rate of infection you can expect 4% of the existing 140k to die (5,600) and an ongoing daily increase of a further 80 deaths per day as 4% of the newly infected die. So even if, as of today, infections stop increasing but continue for say 24 more weeks (168 days) you are looking at 5600 + (168 * 80) = 30,240 deaths. And this is extremely conservative due to the fact that the virus is currently picking up steam throughout the USA
