Just went back and looked and I think I was drunk last night, I messed up on how a hand happened, looking at the pbp I now remember exactly how it went down. 180 person SNG and I am in 8th place, down to 16 people.

I have 16k, blinds are 2/400. I have KQo and in middle position, UTG limps and I decide to limp as well. Thoughts on this? My thinking is if UTG does have a big hand id rather take a flop and see what comes, although he has played no big hands like this and most likely has a small pp or a suited connector, he is in 7th place, just barely has me covered.

3 to the flop and it comes down Q J 4. BB checks and UTG bets 1600, now I decide to see where im at and make it 4600 and he cold calls. My thoughts after he calls, AQ-no, QJ-maybe, KQ-maybe,K10-maybe. I cant see him playing a set of 4's this way with the straight draw on the board. Big pot now and we both have about 10k left. Turn is a K and he goes all in INSTANTLY. Now, i know you can't read players but the instant no thought thing really made me think I was ahead, I doubled up through him earlier in the tourny when my KK beat his 44 on a flop of QQ8 where he went all in INSTANTLY, since I was the raiser it made no since for me to play a Q like that so I called and doubled. Now, of the hands I was thinking, K10 really made sense now. If he thought I had just a Q he took the lead, plus he had the straight draw, or he had QJ and was hoping the K was a scare card. Anyways, I don't think I can lay this down, plus I am fairly sure I have him beat and call and he has J10. IMO, awful play by him, he called off about 1/3rd of his stack on the flop with middle pair no kicker and now put his tourny life at risk with a draw. Of course River is an ACE and good night.

Thoughts about this hand, and/or my anaylsis

Bummer dude, but being in 8th place I would haved folded per flop..its not that good of hand relative to where you are in the tourney and chip wise. At this point, you just about have to put anybody on Ao. But, since you called, I think the flop wager of 4600 should have just been a call of the original bet, you were both limpers pre, so why test the market here with possible top kicker. Nothing you can do on 6th street, but call, and the river, well it happens, more so when you limp with marginal pocket-it seems. It just feels like you went from, a so-so attitude with kq to one of all mighty, king of the roost. Well done to get that far though, good luck next tourney.

well I personally love KQ to both limp and raise because of its drawing potential, I can get away from it pretty easy if I miss the flop, the raise was to test the waters, if he comes back over the top I most likely fold, I really thought I could get him off a weak hand with the raise and was suprised by the call, the J10 call their was very loose and he wasn't exactly playing loose, my image must of been pretty loose myself

Fold at this stage with KQ? That is bad advice.

All you can say is the guy made a horrible play and you made a great call and he sucked out. Don't overthink this one. He sucked and you played good and you got cheated.

In a bigger tourny maybe i call. But if this is $15 or below im telling you to cash in these things you have to play tighter than a nuns vagina..
Youve got 2 unsuited connected cards and these guys have anything. Sit there and fold till u get a big hand.
Now if the pots unopened when it gets to you KQ is fine but once somebody enters the pot dont call with anything. If its not worth reraising PF throw it away.

Thats what I like about these tournys though ppp, I really feel like I can play better then most after a flop. Do you think that guy was going through the range of hands I could have after I raised, hell no. His thoughts where "duh I have a pair I am going to call", then the K came and he thought "duh, im gonna make an epic bluff at this pot"

Exactly but at the same time u can NEVER put them on a hand...are even a range of hands. Its like the NL game i was talking about with the women playing 45os and 57os. Who sticks chips in with those hands? Dumbasses who end up sucking out on ya thats who.

Im in an $8 tourny right now and here are my stats

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 123 hands and saw flop:
- 3 out of 14 times while in big blind (21%)
- 6 out of 13 times while in small blind (46%)
- 11 out of 96 times in other positions (11%)
- a total of 20 out of 123 (16%)
Pots won at showdown - 3 of 3 (100%)

TOO tight? maybe so but im not getting sucked out on by chumps playing KJos, etc..
And im in 100th plc with 350 left paying 180 spots..Its the break right now with blinds of 200/400/50 when we restart.........ill start now usuing this tight image to steal some pots but until now i only played 1 way...this way...

Never saw a playable hand after the 99's so once we hit the money i just left...
I cannot believe the coldecking im getting from these mf'rs. I played a total of 6 hands past the flop and picked up 11 more by steals and nobody playing my BB twice.
So thats 17 hands played total.
About 175 hands ..I dunno what to do, go to Full Rigged where its fucking laughable and about as random as taxes. Go to True Poker where they have the same 75 players in each and every tourny ( i played 4 tournys there a few weeks ago and sat next to the EXACT same player in all 4 of them.)
i really need to take some time off but i also need money badly and have invested 4 yrs playing this game to get in a position to win some and im just fucked i guess.
Not to mention my frickin Uncle is tripping his ass off and wants me to move cus i pd somebody to cut my grass!!!!!! My daughter had a friend come over this morning and he comes over says he wants them to leave cus he rented the house to me not them!! God my life sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
