Opinion Etiquette Situation

Wanted to see what everyone thougth about a situation at a home game the other nite. Friendly game with $20 buy in.

Guy went all in with QJ and 3 people called.

Flop A92

Guy who went all in with QJ was upset b/c he knew he had no chance so he threw his cards off to the side ( Cards didn't touch the muck )

Guy grabs his QJ and shows he has a straight.

I personally think he should win the Pot as he was All-In and really should'nt be allowed to fold. The Host who was running the game said he had a problem with it because with the guy folding he would win the $50+ pot with 2 pair. I thought it was pretty messed up since everyone is friends and such a small game.

I looked up rules and only found that a hand isn't dead unless it hits the muck pile. Also are you actually able to fold an All-In hand?? I saw something similar on ESPN once and they said as long as the cards didn't touch the muck the player could grab his cards n show what he had.

I was kinda upset because everyone at the table is good friends with me and it seemed the guy who was All-in got ripped off.

Home game amongst friends, $20 buy in. Yeah, let him win the pot BUT tell the jerk who went all in with qj to not be a whiner if other players called him. If he acts like a jerk next time = don't invite him back.

He is considered all in and his cards count. His actions might look like a fold but you cant fold in an all in situation.

It's his cards that determine whether he wins or loses a hand.

Not his bad poker demeanor.
