It will likely not be that low by the time we get to bet it at our sportbooks. I'm thinking it will be around 31-33 when we finally get a chance to place a wager on it.
I would be pretty careful with this line. Mostly because it's the first game and it's at noon. I believe I know UF better than anyone here (excluding LT and CB), and I really can't tell you how the D will perform. It's widely anticipated that the CBs will be much better, LB corps is deep and strong and we might have the best DE group in the SEC. But DT is still a trainwreck and now we have some depth issues at S. Will Hill starting at S? This group could turn out to be solid or about like last year.
I think you might be better served playing UFs team total over if it's anywhere in the 40's. If you must play the game line, you need to ask yourself what will Hawaii score? Can they score 24pts? 35pts? To me that's what will determine how to play.
As we saw in the Sugar Bowl the OT position is terrible for Hawaii. No different in Gainesville. The secondary is a certified train wreck right now for the Gators.
I think the secondary will surprise you. Esp the corners. Dont mistake youth and inexperience for lack of talent. That group isnt so inexperienced anymore, plus we got an upgrade in DB coaching in the offseason.
