I have been playing at partypoker and over the past week playing NO LIMIT 25 max holdem... I seem to make more then playing the fixed 2/4.

The best game that you can play for having fun is omaha hi/lo

It doesnt get any better than that!

I play in the tournaments for $50 no limit ALL of the time!

well its not tourneys guys...its just a table of 5-10 people playing NL 25$ holdem...Past 4 nights I have come away ahead..where as I go to the 1/2 or 2/4 and do not. I think its the fear to some when you go "all In" people do not want to take a chance with 20$ all in to see if your bluffing or not

IMO

Dante I dont play 2/4 but I lose more at NL than I do at 3/6 and 5/10. I don't have the game to know the proper betting strategies and extract enough value when I have the best hand and protect my big pairs from being cracked. I also still find the my KK, QQ, AA, JJ being cracked even when I'm all in preflop against hands like KQs, AKs, and weaker pockets like JJ, TT, 99 etc.

With that said, I do believe that a player could make SUBSTANTIALLY more on $25 NL at Party if he was a good NL player. Frankly, I don't think I'm that player and I refuse to think that it is just my "luck." When I do play NL I consider it a lesson and when I win great and when I lose it is just the price of learning how to play the game.

I'm the same swami. I need lessons at NL but can often pick up $100 in an hour playing two 2/4 tables at Party.

This is not really surprising. Although appearing the same the games are very different and require different strategies. I'm better at NL tournament than NL ring games.
