Second - the sucker is not the guy betting at the game. The sucker is the idiot betting live sports at home on delay. Nothing at all wrong with gaining a legal advantage!

It has happened for years. I was sitting with a laptop and mobile phone courtside at Eastbourne for the last several years, Open Gaz de France and most other European tournaments were the same.

There is/was enough money in scooping up to make it worthwhile. I also traded at home on a delay on occasion too. They are different skills, in the first you're looking for quick in and outs, in the second you need to take long(er) term positions.

Anyone see the Las Vegas episode on Friday night. Something almost exactly like this was on the show. guy was betting horses on a minute delayed feed in the sportsbook.

At critical points in the match there can be very significant movements on every single point, so even with the 5 second delay you can scoop up plenty.

I think the Davydenko affair has made the ATP and WTA more sensitive to going after laptops. I guess the motivated will simply have to use cell phones now.
