Seemed to be continuing momentum from last season's NBA, backdoors included. As far as record, I am factoring in full 10 cent juice, although I always advocate two things, in this order. First, get the best number. I will say this 100 times. Look at Wiz last night. From 11 to 9 1/2. If you have no feel for line movement, get the best available at the time. Next reduce juice. Many of my selections are reduced juice. Not that I plan on losing, but it happens. This is a marathon. If you pick up a few dollars a day, at the end of the marathon you have picked up a lot. And if you hedge, which I have been known to do, with my mascot, you will save quite a bit more. Or scalp, or middle. Of course Omnivorous means to take it all in. Get the best number, get the best price.
Well we now see the Raptors are Canadian dinosaurs, and do not score away from home. If you can only get 92 on the Kings, what are you going to get on Utah, in Utah, who have a defense 20 points better than the Kings? Raptors defense came back to Earth getting lit for 108. Jazz could do that, but are closer to 104. It is their defense which is only allowing 82 points a game that is the key. Plus Raptors got ran off the floor, got on plane to Salt Lake and have time for a walk through. In the altitude, back to back takes a toll on the legs. Jumpers fall short, front rimming, less fast breaks. Highest Utah score so far this year, 193, lowest, 182. They are very consistent. Jerry Sloan's squads are always defensive. He got jobbed/robbed for coach of the year last year. Going for the makeup call this season. Utah got lit up last game at home first quarter. Coach will stress, start off with a higher defensive intensity tonight. Will post everything tonight in this thread.
