Kansas City +1.22 over DETROIT http://www.pinnaclesports.com/?refer=xspwagers<o></o>
This is a pitching rematch from exactly a week ago in KC in which Willis defeated Bannister but laying anything with Willis, especially against the same team that saw him a week ago, is likely a big mistake. Willis is attempting to re-establish himself after two seasons riddled by control problems and health issues. His last full season was a rather disastrous 2007 and even though he won his season debut a week ago, the signs of trouble are still there. He walked two batters in the first inning and gave up seven hits overall for a BAA of .318 and that was the first time he faced the Royals so few hitters had ever seen him before. We saw what the Royals did to Scherzer yesterday under similar circumstances. Brian Bannister is a real student of the game and he’s getting better each season. He throws strikes and he keeps the ball down and in this park, that’s a recipe for success. In fact, he has thrived at Comerica over the past three years with a 0.45 ERA over three starts covering 20 innings. The Royals are an undervalued team right now but they’re a much- improved squad with a strong defense, a ton of speed and a whole slew of quality bats. Play: Kansas City +1.22 (Risking 2 units).
