I've been watching a lot of the Big Brown aftermath coverage. Here's the thing I don't understand about all of this: Big Brown is NOT the only horse in recent memory that has had a shot at the Triple, but he seems to be the one with the highest expectations going into it and the most post-race coverage - WHY?
The media coverage (both previous to the race and now) seem to have forgotten that the Triple Crown is special for a reason. It's SUPPOSED to be hard! It's SUPPOSED to be something that DOES NOT happen every year or every time a horse has a shot at it. All this post-race coverage is starting to border on ridiculous because people (the media and general public) can't seem to accept that we're not going to have a Triple Crown winner every year.:think2:
