Den un 180 2 units
4 units 1-0 +4
3 units 4-1 +8.7
2 units 4-5 -3.0
1 unit 3-1 +1.9
Bottom line (+11.6)
Winning days 7-1.
Woeful Hornets stagger what is left of their loser squad to the new and improved Nuggets. Two things converge here for a slight value on a decent number 180. The Nuggets had to rethink their offensive strategy, as they were taking a beating once Voshon achilles tore. So they have become a slower paced, deliberate half court set up and create team. Needless to say, this is at least getting them the W's, just a lot of scoring dropoff. So credit coach for dropping entertainment to win, and reworking gameplan to succeed. The Hornets are just a basket case. They can't be hornets as they have about as much sting as wins. Now they have close to no offensive firepower, not that they ever really did besides Baron, but now? They can hold high scoring teams in the 80's, why they are lucky to break 70. They force the tempo. Hey, it worked in Utah. This team is not going to outscore anyone, they have little choice. Can Nailon possibly shoot any worse? When both participants favor a low scoring game, it always helps the under. Slight chance Nuggets try to uptempo, but others have, see Lakers/Suns, and they do get back on defense, knowing the shot is going to miss. Good for 2 units.
Have decent NCAA sleeper. Will post in apppropriate forum hour before tipoff.
