Bobcats +9 1/2 3 units
4 units 1-0 +4
3 units 4-0 +12
2 units 4-4 -.8
1 unit 2-1 +.9
Bottom line (+16.8)
Winning days 7-0.
All rested and recuperated, feeling ready to roll. Coach asked Froggy, "How ya feel Frog?" I feel good. More Frog advice. I keep a journal, like a diary just not as gay. I would say a business journal. In this journal I do not record amounts, but results, and general notes. Tips, other ancedotes. One consistent, if I am tired, I do not fare as well. If I am sick, I do worse. Worst week in last year, I was sick as a dog and tried to work through it. That will not happen again.
Tonight I am going with the surprisingly competitive Charlotte team. Another scrappy dog. I have had them a few times already this season. Their last game against Bucks was outstanding, they totally outplayed the Bucks. On the road. They led almost the entire contest. But Bucks were not going to lose at home, and got an amazing 43 to 21 free throw advantage. Talk about some home cookin. They actually have a good team. Balanced scoring, hard working frontline. Decent scoring bench. Really like Jason Hart. Had another sweet game vs Bucks, 19 points, 4 boards, 7-8 from line, and the best part, 12 assists to 2 turnovers. That is a whopping 6-1 ratio! I like him. Also sleeper on the inside, Primoz Brezec. Was having another good game, before fouling out. Okafor and atheltic Gerald Wallace, who can jump out of the gym make up the frontline. These Bobcats picked the right players.
Boston Celtics. Remember when Boston always covered at the garden? Me neither. They sure do not now. They had crummy low scoring Blazers, on the ropes, leading by 20, after Blazers had played the night before. And almost set a league futility record for scoring. So Celtics gag up huge lead, actually tie, and look for a way to lose outright. Needless to say they did not cover, again. If they allow Blazers scoring challenged team to comeback, Bobcats have no trouble scoring. Have a few matchups in our favor, weak home favorite vs unsung and predjudiced against expansion team. One note in the Buck game, even with the free throw bias, obviously Bobcats getting jobbed, they kept their composure, got no technicals, and kept playing through it. That is mental toughness. This is not a young scrub team. There are some players on this team, that just needed minutes. Hunger from bench sitting is a very nice motivator.
