Hey Einstein, do you think the only place we advertise is the RX? The majority of our sources elicit people who could give a flying F about a free half. Nobody will bet there? LOL I try not to embarrass myself in a public forum. I have a funny feeling that we give away SOOOOOOO much here at the RX that we may have more of a loyal following than you may think. We are confident that there are people out there unlike yourself who look at the big picture. Have a nice day. And for those of you loyal customers, we greatly appreciate your business.:103631605

Skybook is all class, unlike certain posters.....as posters, you have a choice, to use Sky or move on without insulting them...The risk in giving free half points is enormous, especially in hoops...Is anyone surprised that no other shops offer this...Sky runs alot of promos and they give away a bunch of stuff....Now, if they didn't pay, that is another story...I don't blame Sky Dude for his posts, some guys have been very insulting for the past week and a half....get over it and move on if you have to.....

skybook your out of line

skybook and rio free half point for life
we take the risk back at the start of offshore and post up
you take rio away with our free half point
your bonus(even at start of football)none if your past balance is plus,ok
why should we play there now when you can play at 5 cent stores?
you made a contract sky stick to it.it was never as profitable givening away THE half point.I supported both rio and sky and yes you are a TOP book with your cs,but you have lost my respect.
football will lose half point next
JUDGE this could be the only time i disagree with you
gambling is a hand shake and they are biting our hand

what if the free 1/2 point in NBA was causin them to lose so much that it could jeaoprodize the business?

would you rather they went under with everyones money instead of making what they feel are responsibile business decisions?

I have never played at Skybook and probably never will. I have a friend that played there and all he ever complained about was their lines and how late they post. Its nice that they giveaway free stuff ( I have never once played a contest from them)...what did he say over 200k in free stuff. If they are giving away that much they should have saved some to give away the free 1/2 point and maybe invest in some software that will post lines quicker...you have to have something different than other books and I just dont see that from this book....so why play w/ them??

I just talked to Skybook via live chat and was told that there has been NO decision regarding reinstating the half point on Fridays or any other time. Do you have more recent information, Skybook Dude?

I will continue to play at Skybook as long as they keep offering all the nice reup bonuses. Your money is safe and if they are going to give away free money. I am willing to take it.

at least the rules are there and you have a choice.

plenty of books have screwed the player over w/o any recourse

skybook ive had my problems with them in the past but at least they try

betjm as well - had to leave that book but its not like you dont know what your getting into

both sponsor plenty of contests here and make it more fun for the majority.

my .02 cents

Figure it can't hurt begging. I know they frequent the RX quite a bit so maybe they will respond (didn't see them in last thread).

Alot of the elite books have something that seperates them from each other and Skybook was always the home of the free half point.

With all the negative things that have happened the last few weeks in the industry this is another real bummer.

Come on Skybook: "BRING BACK THE FREE HALF POINT IN HOOPS":103631605
I agree and the free 1/2 pt was supposed to be for life.

This is how I think this issue should be resolved

Many players and posters dont seem to care about the free 1/2 point, those who do care have posted in this topic and obviously they are loyal skybook clients. So, why not offer it only to these posters(only 15-20)??

I think thats the right solution!

I haven't posted much at RX lately but saw this post and thought I should chip in. I have been at Skybook for at least 5 years if not more.

I have always appreciated the contests that they have put on here at the RX. They have been generous with bonuses and customer service has always been very nice.

But, I have to admit that I might not be playing with them much longer. The main betting reasons that I enjoyed are no longer options. They had great teaser options in the past with low odds and ties win. I understand why they changed them but they went from some of the best teaser odds to middle of the road or worse. Free half point on hoops is also another reason to play there that has gone. Free half point for football certainly is a value but not enough to keep this book up with some of the others in my opinion.

In no way is this meant to be a bash against Skybook but it's simply my opinion that Skybook is no longer going to get much if any action from me. The killer for me was the complete overhaul of teasers. I could see going from THE BEST teasers down a notch but I would never play teasers with them anymore.

My 2 cents

These things run in cycles. Some years the player gets killed on teases. This year is a good year for the players and hence, the odds now are jacked up. When the teases fail to hit the players will run low on funds, and less action will occur. Finally, some book will once again lower the teasor odds, and others might follow. It's a shame to have this happen but books hate to lose as much as players do. Still, books have built in vig, the players generally do not (most players).

When I signed up (this year) I was excited about the half point. It is a shame that the number 7 in football is not covered (3 I can understand). It makes the deal pretty much a wash considering the other book options. But with baskets coming, I figured the half point would be worth a try.

Friday's? Not a great day especially for those who work, then go out at night. Also a problem with waiting for lines on Saturday games and having to be AT the computer to play them. Not going to happen for most of us.

If you are indeed cutting back on this promotion, what about forgetting Fridays and going with Saturdays and Sundays (weekends)? Sunday is not a large slate of games, but Saturday is and at least some of us could take some time to handicap the games and make an informed decision on what to play. Is one full day of the 1/2 point option too much to ask?

Would you like to get paid when you win? How about free half points, even money teasers, 25% signup and reup bonuses, reduced vig, contest prizes, and free payouts. Seriously guys some of what you expect from some of these books is totally unrealistic.

i dont think its too unrealistic to expect books to do what they said they were gonna do. they promoted the free half point to get more action and that is the sole reason many played at skybook. Getting people to fund accounts and open new accounts and then rip away the half point promotion right before hoops season was pretty much the idea here and i dont think its unrealistic for players to be upset with this.
