The books have been very strange on SDSU spreads this season. Whenever they play a sub .500 team they are a DD favorite (as should be) but when playing good teams they have been dogs in almost every spot when they should be the favorites. Here's what I remember from the top of my head:
UNLV @ SDSU +3.5
SDSU +3.5 @ Wyoming
SDSU +9.5 @ New Mexico
SDSU +9 @ UNLV
They were dogs in all of these games and covered. The only other game in which they were a dog was at Baylor and they did not cover there. Now they're at home against New Mexico, a team they beat at The Pit, a team with a much softer SOS and not a single win over a ranked team this year, and they are a +1 dog?
SDSU is 15-1 at home this year how the heck are they a dog tonight?
