Someone who lives in the political forums thinks politics is unimportant? Must be devastated over the fortunes of your Detroit Lio..., err conservatives.

I don't get devastated by politics, just not in my genes. However, last year's 1st ever first round loss in the Calhoun era bummed me out for at least two or three days.

What we debate around here are philosophical theories anyways. Not much of what is preached is actually practiced, although many don't see that.

I'm ok with the fact that your boy gives you hope :103631605, just don't learn too much about the details of those supposedly failed policies he wants to continue, repeat and expand.

Obama isn't "my boy" but he is the best option at the moment, which, of course, isn't necessarily saying much.

Actually, he's our only option, eh?

I hope he wins reelection by a landslide, it might be a sign people are giving him credit for some good times. I don't care about credit, the good times are what matters.

i've always wondered how FDR managed to pull of 3 terms...and elected to a 4th one.....

granted being at war was part of it

guess he was just a good con artist making the people think he was on their side with all his heavy worker rights anti business policies

historians buy the con as well

I like and respect Louisville, but we're better and we're playing like a vintage Calhoun team. That means we play our best against the best, which means Huskies or pass Monday night.

Congrats to UCONN, they manhandled my Cards, the player (Thabeet) is one beast (I hope he goes pro this year) UCONN is going to be a hard team to stop in the tourney. If you try to stop Thabeet, they will beat you outside. A UCONN/NC matchup would a great game.:toast:

I disagree with the last poster. I have said this for many years now, the Huskies are too inconsistent from the perimeter for you to not sag and try to match their physicality. I love the way they play even though i talk shit as they are maybe the most impressive team size wise in the country, but you have to take it to them. Look for Pitts Blair to give Thabeet a war come here in a few weeks.

Regardless, congrats Wullie. I would much rather someone from the BE getting to the top of the mountain then say some sissified team from the ACC.

Cuse, alright Funksta

I thought you might be a BC and ACC fan

I thought Cuse was a National Title contender, but they cost me a little scratch after their great start. Although I now know I had them overrated, I do think they can make a run in March because their style is very effective OOC.

The game's on campus, our real home court. We should win, but Cuse has enough talent to beat us. .

Fetcher, 3 point shooting is inconsistent, not pounding the paint and winning the FT battle. Defensive FG% and rebounding margin doesn't take a day off either. Three's are not part of Jimmy's offense by design. Having said that, if teams pack the paint, our guards have proven more than capable of sticking the three dude. Have you been watching?

The game with Pitt will be a war, I expect a split at best. You're big inside, but we out rebound our opponent 100% of the time. You'll score more with your bigs, but our guards are great. Fields is going to be hassled every second he's on the floor.

I expect Pitt, UConn and Louisville to be in the Elite Eight.

Have to mention, the Beaver Ballers manhandled yet another ranked team Tuesday night. Barring injury, they are going to run the table.

Bet on them every time they play a good team, they're sick. I'm looking forward to laying low double digits from the Elite Eight out. Seriously, I know I sound like a homer, but they are very very very good. I've never said stuff like this before.
