If your an exchange rookie you may want to post up at Matchbook. Much more action.

For US sports, I often find Matchbook has better prices/liquidity however..

For soccer/cricket/tennis/golf etc.. Betfair is unparalleled.

Now, let's not get silly S, for hoops & NFL Betfair is miles ahead of matchbook. Hockey is dead everywhere. Baseball varies a lot.

I usually get 3pts better in US odds + 2-3% less comission on Matchbook..

plus Betfair don't change the handicap and are usually way off market.

Tradesports are decent. They're one of the best for baseball, as they seem to carry more in play games than any other exchange. However, they have the most awkward interface out there, as well as the most uncomfortable comission structure. I'll move some money there for the bases, but nothing grand.
About Betfair vs Matchbook, the question was not about price, but liquidity, I dare say that Betfair has 10x what MB matches, even on a worse price.

Matchbook v Tradesports v Betfair will be an interesting in-running battle this year, as MB have stepped up their in running volume for NCAABB..

Mansion seem to have no interest in that side of things.

Where are you based scarab? BF don't take US customers, though they do now offer Neteller
