Boston Red Sox (-110), 1 unit:
This was almost my first 2u play of the year but something smells funny. Red Sox are starting to hit. Lester dominates the Jays. Dickey has been awful and even worse against Boston. The number should be bigger but I can't avoid it when I feel like I am on the right side.
Parlay: Los Angeles Dodgers, Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees (+317)
Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves o7 (+120), 1 unit:
Tough to play an over with these two on the mound but they both have miserable numbers against their opponents.
Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers u7 (+115), 1 unit: Peralta has been downright filthy since last year and the Cubs can't hit. Hammel would be noticed by everyone except he plays for the Cubs.
Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners u7 (+107), 1 unit: Harrison gets back on the mound today and has historically thrown it very well against the Mariners. Maurer strikes me as one of those guys that was brought up too soon last year and now that he is back in the majors will show his good stuff. Last year even when he sucked he still had good numbers against the Rangers.
Miami Marlins and New York Mets u7 (-102), 1 unit: Two pitchers with great numbers and great numbers against their opponents. Both flying under the radar because their teams stink. Both teams have very few threats in the lineup and decent bullpens.

Another day, no plays. Card doesn't look good and I don't have enough time to dissect it carefully and the season is too long to force plays.

Not that anyone reads this or follows my picks but my apologies to anyone who uses this info in any way. Hopefully will have picks tomorrow.

Hop...

You are so gentlemanly that you even apologize for doing the best thing for people (and even give an explanation).

Game 1: Baltimore Orioles (-115), 1 unit:
Two pitchers I've enjoyed fading this year. Upon closer inspection, there are a few things to like about Norris. First he tends to throw it well at Camden Yards. Second, he has good numbers against Pittsburgh. Even without Davis the Orioles have the more dangerous lineup and have the more complete bullpen due to Pittsburgh dealing with the Grilli injury.

Washington Nationals (+103), 1 unit:
Taking a closer look at Strasburg, he just cannot continue to get results like this. His string of awful luck comes to an end tonight against a Phillies team without a lot of pop. The Nationals also have the better bullpen and lineup so if Strasburg's numbers come back to anywhere near where they should be this one has a good shot.
Miami Marlins (+111), 1 unit: Hard to believe but the Marlins are playing very good baseball right now. Kohler had an excellent start to the season with a bit of a rough patch in his last outing. Beckett has been superb but his innings are limited and the Dodgers have to be tired after playing a double header in the cold yesterday and arriving late into Miami last night.
Oakland A's (+115), 1 unit: Really not a lot to like about Buchholz right now. Since he returned from injury last year he just has not been the same player. Combine that with the fact that the Red Sox aren't hitting right now and they and their bullpen have to be exhausted after yesterday's double header. Straily has not been lights out by any means but his peripheral numbers tell me things are about to change for the better for him. Combine all those things with the somehow potent A's lineup and it's worth a shot.
Milwaukee Brewers (+108), 1 unit: The Brewers have to come down to Earth at some point, right? Not here. Not when Peralta throws it very well against the Reds and in Cincinnati. Leake just isn't the same pitcher at home and I'll take my chances with the team no one can explain, the Brewers.
Pittsburgh Pirates (-1, +101), 1 unit: Cole seemed to figure something out in his last outing and he's been nails at PNC. On the other side, Morrow is fooling absolutely no one. I'll grab the more talented starter and the much better bullpen at home.

St. Louis Cardinals (+103), 1 unit:
Harang has been due for a regression and it started against the Marlins. Looking for it to continue here.
Milwaukee Brewers (-1, +101), 1 unit: Home Garza, good. Road Garza, bad. Too big of a pitching mismatch even for a sliding Brewers team.
Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies o9 (+125), 1 unit: Two bad pitchers. Two bad bullpens. Hitters park.
New York Mets and Miami Marlins u7 (+107), 1 unit: Niese and Eovaldi are two of the least talked about pitchers that are having very nice seasons. They also have good numbers against their opponents and I expect that to continue tonight.
Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians u8 (+100), 1 unit: This one screamed over until I took a closer look. McAllister has nice numbers at home and against the Twins and Gibson has been far from good but for some reason gives the Indians trouble.

Minnesota Twins (+129), 1 unit:
The Indians just can't hit right now. Combine that with Deduno having mediocre numbers but much, much better stuff than Tomlin and at this number it is worth a shot.
Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres o7 (+125), 1 unit: Tough to take an over at Petco. However, the Padres have great numbers off of Guthrie and everyone is hitting Erlin right now.
Seattle Mariners and Oakland A's u7 (+110), 1 unit: Elias was fantastic against the Yankees and has good numbers against the A's. Chavez has been dominant all season and even in prior years when he struggled it was never against the Mariners.

San Francisco Giants (-128), 1 unit:
Too big of a pitching mismatch to ignore. Bumgarner starting to return to form and owns the Dodgers. Maholm may be in his last turn through the rotation with Kershaw back and for good reason.
Boston Red Sox (+131), 1 unit: I've been fading Buchholz all year and this is a strange place to stop. However he looks like he's starting to come around. He has great numbers against the Rangers and has the better lineup behind him. Darvish has close to a 6 ERA against the Red Sox. It's worth a chance at this number.
Arizona Diamondbacks (-114), 1 unit: It looks like McCarthy is finally recovering from the horrendous head shot and his stuff has been good lately. On the other hand the White Sox throw a guy who has slow pitch softball numbers. There's no doubt it is brutal to back the anemic DBacks right now but the mismatch on the mound is so great it is hard to ignore.
New York Mets (-124), 1 unit: Mejia looked like the next Cy Young until his last start in Colorado. I tend to disregard most starts in Colorado. Hernandez has been surprisingly mediocre but his road numbers are bad and the Mets that have faced him hit him hard.
Chicago Cubs (+176), 1 unit: If Hammel pitched for any other team the whole league would be talking about him. The Braves bats have not been good and at a number this big it is worth a shot.
St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates u7 (-110), 1 unit: Wacha has dominated everyone. Liriano has been bad this year but his numbers against the Cardinals are stellar.
