Last year was awful in what is usually my best sport. Got down big to start the year and ended up down about 35 units after tournament play. Hopefully this year is better. I'll do my best to provide analysis when I have time so you can follow, fade or get a good laugh.

YTD: 0-0

William and Mary Tribe +18.5 (-105), 1 unit:
This is a good Tribe squad with a lot of experience. Florida has the bigger name but they're inexperienced and it will take time for all their athletes to play together.
Minnesota Golden Gophers +6.5 (-105), 1 unit: Early in the year, good, experienced guards can carry you. Hollins and Mathieu are good, experienced guards.
Wofford Terriers +10 (-105), 1 unit: Heck of a run at the end of the year for the Terriers. All the key pieces are back as they face a Cardinal team that has to figure out how to replace its dominant front court from last season.

Thanks...tough start, long season. Let's turn it around starting today!!

YTD 0-3 -3.15

Fairfield Stags +32.5 (-105), 1 unit:
Don't know much about the Stags. I know it's tough to ask the Blue Devils to lay 30+ on consecutive nights. Hoping they rest their players early and Fairfield takes advantage.
Kent State Golden Flashes -4.5 (-108), 1 unit: A lot of returning starters for an underachieving Golden Flashes squad. They've added some size and they have an opponent that doesn't defend well and should give up a lot of second chances.
Bowling Green Falcons +2.5 (-105), 1 unit: A lot of returning scoring and talent for the Falcons. The Bulldogs lost their best player and are hit with suspensions and injuries as well. Tough to back a team with a new head coach on the road but the talent gap is too big to ignore.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons +13.5 (-103), 1 unit:
I like what I see so far from this team under Manning. Not much hope that they win but they have enough experience and the right mindset to stay within the number. They are not however explosive on offense so this is not one of those games where the backdoor cover will likely be in play.
St. Joseph's Hawks +22.5 (-107), 1 unit: Early on I think it has become clear to the Hawks that their best shot is to grind it out on offense and play tough defense. Anytime a team has a mindset like that and are getting this many points I'lol give it a shot.

Penn State Nittany Lions -6.5 (-102), 1 unit:
The Trojans are not good. They just don't have enough for three games in three days and I look for the Nittany Lions back court to dominate in this one.
Boston College Eagles +5.5 (-108), 1 unit: The Flyers were fortunate to survive A&M and were handled easily by UConn. The Eagles have looked good, battling throughout this tournament. They have the best player on the floor, Hanlon, and this feels like too many points in what should be a hard fought matchup with the winner leaving with a winning record in the tournament.

I'd like to say I am a shit show right now but that would be offensive to shit shows.

5-11 -6.5

Wisconsin Green Bay -8.5 (-105), 1 unit:
I like having the more tested team with the best player on the floor in these early season match ups.k
Kansas State Wildcats +2.5 (-105), 1 unit: They have the size to defend Hammons and have already traveled West and tested themselves with a tough one against LBSU.
BYU Cougars +4.5 (-105), 1 unit: Love this SDSU team but I am concerned about their offense and feel like BYU has too much firepower with Haws and Collinsworth.
Iowa State Cyclones -6.5 (-105), 1 unit: Niang is a beast and Bama does not have the horses to match up. Cyclones have a shot to gain some national respect tonight and I think they send a message.
Virginia Commonwealth Rams +1.5 (-105), 1 unit: Nova has struggled with their offense and with containing their opponents best player. This is the wrong team to try and fix that against.

That BYU loss in 2ot was a nice summary of my year thus far.

Iona Gaels +12.5 (-110), 1 unit:
A lot of points to give a team that can score. Especially with a big one against Iowa State on tap for the Razorbacks.
Army Black Knights +26.5 (-110), 1 unit: Granted it has been against weaker competition but the Black Knights have already won twice on the road. Big game coming up with Wisconsin for the Blue Devils.
Rhode Island Rams -2 (-110), 1 unit: In these consolation games, a lot of times it comes down to motivation. This is a chance for Hurley and the Rams to pick up a win against a power conference team. They've beaten a good Nebraska team at home while the Yellow Jackets have yet to be tested.
UTEP Miners -2 (-110), 1 unit: The Miners are a tough, defensive minded team with a good coach. Their win over Xavier was impressive and they get a chance to play a Huskies squad that has not been tested this season.

Thought it was going to be a good day, starting with Army...then it all just went bad. Been a tough run the last year or so. Hoping it changes soon.

YTD: 12-19-1 -8.05

Nebraska Cornhuskers -2 (-120), 1 unit:
They are a different team on the road but at least Nebraska has played in a tough environment (compared to what they will face tonight) on the road already. Their wings are too athletic and Florida State is too shorthanded. The Big10 starts the challenge out right with a road win.
