Can you all tell me how you feel about on line casinos? Do you trust them? Are the odds better, worse or the same as a "real" casino? I don't care about sites that are strictly casinos...but on occasion I like to play with the money I have in a sportsbook site, on their casino side. I have used a few sites and they seem to be ok, but I would like some input. Thank You.

I went around a few and read their blackjack rules and played for fun just to see if they were at least offering decent odds. I ran across the Bodog casino blackjack, oh my god what a ripoff! How many American casinos of any type, online or B&M, don't reveal a BJ right away? At Bodog and I presume others I didn't see if the 10 is showing they don't "check" for a BJ and if you were to double or split, they would take all your money. That has to be about the worst game you can find in the US. I have heard some European casinos do that, but that is ludicrous. As if you can't make enough money as it is with an online casino, to use that seriously player unfriendly rule is plain ridiculous. Other places had reasonable odds for BJ, but I haven't played with real money. If I played for real money and got hosed like that at Bodog I would have been pissed!

Amazing to think any casino would have to cheat. Casino games have a nice built-in edge, why mess with that? My point about Bodog or any casino with those types of rules is that you might get someone to play, but once they get burned by that rule they might get mad and quit. All a casino needs to do is get you to play, the edge takes care of itself. The only threat online casinos have are too many bonus whores, most I saw had $200 or $500 max bets, no way a casino can get hurt with those kinds of limits.

Sherman, it is simple. If you really want to gamble and find it fun then go ahead and bet a couple bucks. As in any casino game, don't bet an amount that makes a big difference to you financially. The casino is going to win in the long-term, but you might beat it in the short-term, just as in a regular casino. I hear people say online casinos cheat, but frankly I don't see the point in it. If players think you cheat, you really get screwed because they stop playing.

I do not trust them really...but i will try them once in awhile just for fun and small amounts if its connected to a sportsbook.

I think they let you win a few days or hands then hope you double down if you lose and then they take it all...IMO

Sherman, Wild Bill's experience underlines the importance of reading all the small print and the rules.

All games have a casino advantage and so the only way to make money in a reliable way is to play bonuses.

Most important is the choice of a reputable casino, as there are many that will slow pay or not pay. If you want to try online casinos I suggest Intercasino or Casino-on-Net.

Regarding sportsbooks I have played the casinos at Bet365 and Sportingbet, both of which use Boss Media software, and am confident that I'm getting a fair game of blackjack.

If you think you are getting cheated or are the type to suspect cheating from the first moment then playing an online casino is certainly not for you. Don't even start because it is sure to lead to getting on your nerves.

Woody O....I have been playing at my regular sportsbook lately, V-Wager and it seems to be about the same as a land casino. Some god times, some bad times. I was just curious to know of other peoples experiences. When I see the progressive jackpots on games, I tend to be skeptical there....do they really give that $$$ away?

Progressives are paid out as you - the player - are paying into a pool for the jackpot with every spin/hand. However, make sure the casino is on a 1st tier platform that regularly paysout. If they are 'local' progressives forget it - the odds of hitting a progressive are so slim that the tiny 'local' progressive jackpot is not worth trying to hit.

If you are going for any one, go for a big one! Only play on a 'network' progressive.
