You guys really going to start a fight in a thread like this ??

Please stop allowing this clown to push this veagan bullshit on the posting body. The guy can't stop himself.

Here a guy is asking for sympathy for his brother and this clown is in here talking about his diet. How classless.

Listen, I'm far from understanding Vegan people and all the power to them if that's what they want to eat.

BUT I don't think there was any malice to his comment .. Actually just the opposite ...

Having to deal with cancer patients in my life with family, Certain foods can help ease the common discomforts from cancer treatment
is it a Vegan diet ? NO ... but there was nothing wrong with what ha said.

Just leave it be

Thanks

Thanks for all the nice messages except the fighting. Lol I'm glad to say he's still at the hospital doing better. They have him walking around with a walker because lying in bed all the time is not good. Anyways thanks for prayers it worked. Just hope he keeps feeling better. They said its an allergic reaction to all the chemo drugs.
Thanks for your info ricboff

He called me now he's home. God does create miracles. Lol He said he was in a coma for 4 days and doesn't remember a thing of what happened. He was really weak. Glad he's home.

Well 5 months later the cancer has come back. His wife rushed him to the hospital last Sunday. And he needed surgery a second time. He's not doing well at all. All we can do is pray and have good thoughts. He's only 53. Don't know why he has to suffer. My dad is 80 and doing great. My Mom is 76 and doing great. I'm fine and my younger brother is good.
Remember folks the chemo the first time knocked him into a coma for a week. So he didn't have anything done the last 5 months. It's stomach was giving him major pain again. So the cancer came back. If they give him chemo it could knock him into a coma again. And if he doesn't do anything the cancer can finish him off. What do you guys think? Thanx

With all due respect you are asking a bunch of degenerate gamblers what they think??? Just ask for thoughts and prayer...And i wish him and your family the best...

Best of luck but I do take offense. While we are all probably degenerate gamblers, there are a lot of smart people on this board.

With all due respect to you sir, I've talked to many posters off this board and many are highly educated and successful in business or business owners themselves. I'm sure some are degenerates yes, but some are very intelligent individuals who know a lot of useless shit.

chemotherapy is tricky because it requires a patient to be in good enough shape to receive it.
if it is recurrent/not responding to current chemotherapy and if he has progressed to stage IV, it may be worth having his tissue samples tested for MSI (microsatellite instability) to see if he's eligible for immunotherapy (might have heard of opdivo on the tv commercials)
immunotherapy is more tolerable overall, but once it is stage IV, it is not going to cure; only prolong his limited life.

^caveat: in order to receive immunotherapy, like chemo he will have to be in good enough shape to get it as an outpatient

How old are you sunshine? And have you been checked out since April?

routine screening starts at 50 if no family history. but if immediate family history of colon cancer before the age of 60, start at age 40 or subtract 10 years from age of diagnosis (whichever is earlier)

Thanx to all. Yes I'm 51 and have been checked since. It's sad to say my brother never had the tests done the past 3 years. I don't know what he was thinking. His wife should have knocked some sense into him. You never think its going to happen to you. It was stage 3 cancer the first time I know. Not sure about this time.
