olympics mens bball plays

will list all my plays in this one thread.

early thoughts:

greece- can not shoot the ball from the perimeter.
spain- solid inside play from the gasol brothers; guard play ok but decision making a big question mark
angola- garbage
germany- untested

argentina -2 1/2
they have 3 legit NBA players on their squad (gineobli, scola, umberto) and basically have the same team from the one that won the gold in 2004. lithuanians are a good squad and many pick them to contend for a medal but feel gineboli is the difference maker here.

australia + 3 1/2
solid front court (bogut and anderson) and feel that they have the better atheletes than the croatians

usa/china un 183
coack K will call off the dogs in the 4th quarter (as always). dont expect the us squad to go all out in this one (especially against the host nation).

iran +29 1/2

lithuania coming off big win against argentina (argentina really should have won that game but nocionni & ginobli couldn't buy a 3) and with russia on deck. lithuaninas will be looking ahead to face the russians who they just hate and don't expect them to light it up against the iranians.

croatia/russia ov 148
should be a wide open game with both teams looking to push the ball.

germany/greece un 149 1/2
should be a tight game. greece is a veteran team (ie OLD) and expect them to slow things down.

angola + 43
pure value play here (6 touchdowns should be enough for the cover)

argentina/australia ov 161
australia plays no defense and argentina should be able to get to 90 in this one.

Revenge from the loss 2 years ago. Burying Greece by 40+ is the USA's main mission in this years tourney. They should have no problem, as long as they are focused.

Normally I would fade Team USA every game as the line is too high, but not this one. Revenge is powerful even in international competition, at least I am gambling on it.
