Interesting change in rotation going into today's game. Weaver being put in the two position, thereby switching order with Perez. Meanwhile, Reuter stays in order as number two behind Schmidt. Teams opened the season against each other at SBC Park and Weaver was dominant in Game 3. The Giants looked terrible chasing his pitches badly and were never in the game. Meanwhile, Reuter actually pitched pretty well for the 5 innings he was preassigned giving up only 2 runs before the bullpen came in and collapsed immediately. Find the run line interesting at 8.5 having gone up from the opener. Trend shows action on the Over, but not so sure about that. Very well could go Over, but not a given. Off both pitching performances, could make a case for the Under, although if the game gets to the bullpens, runs might abound. If Weaver dominates like his last performance, this could be a no contest. What to do. Well, since I'm a lifetime Giants fan, think I'll sit back and enjoy this one today and hope the Giants can continue to add to their win total. Best of luck everyone.

Yep, 84 more. First big test on the road today against the Dodgers. Without Bonds and Alou, Giants don't possess a great deal of power, but their starting pitching and defense have been solid as expected so far and Benitez is 2 for 2 in saves. Middle relief is a concern however. Hitting has been decent even without the two key guys but Weaver shut them down last week.

Noticed you have continued your winning ways. Not surprised. Always wishing you the best but don't want do anything that might affect your results, if you know what I mean. Continued success in all that you do.

Ted, nice start by my Braves as well this year..

Every Giants win, that i see, makes me think of your wager.. I only have one favorite team, so if the giants arent playing the braves, and im not betting against them, im pulling for the giants..

with the way that im doing things this year, ill probably be on or against the giants tomorrow, depends on todays outcome...

OMT: Love your posts. I'm a Giant fan too. I lived there for about 5 years 70's/80's and loved the rivalry with the Dodgers. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the pitcher revenge theory. I posted a little while ago. Can't see Weaver repeating that performance. Giants have gained some confidence since 4/6, learning how to score without the long ball (or Bonds).

Always nice to hear from a fellow Giants fan. As for the revenge theory, I read your post. Important note here. These two pitchers did not face each other last week. Reuter started the second game and was opposite Perez. Weaver pitched the third game and was opposite Tomko. Believe Weaver's performance and the off day yesterday may have contributed to Tracy switching his rotation.
Best of luck to you today and in the future.

Thanx Ted. This is so embarrassing. I'm a poor excuse for a Giants' fan. Hard to follow sometimes from NY, even with the MLB package. Covers listed them both pitching 4/6, so I'll blame them. Yeah, that's the ticket. I still like the Giants at the +143 I found!! Weaver will not embarass them again.

Giants showing more patience early as they have runners on first and third with one out and leading 1-0. As for information, would suggest using www.espn.com as one of many sights. It shows the dates the pitchers last started. I'm sure others on the forum can suggest other good sights as well.

Top of the first with Giants on top 5-0 with runners at first and second and still only one out. Obviously not the same Weaver as last week. Boo birds out already at Dodger Stadium.

opening day at home is a pressure situation, in which the basketweaver is notoriously bad. seems to have settled in somewhat. going to be a sweat if rueter cant get to the 7th, which at this rate he cant. armando is gold, but the middle relief is dirt.
