TED, I hope you dont mind a quick question.

Why did you say "this line-up isnt suited to face a left-hander like Kershaw"? Is it because you think he is real good? I couldnt imagine why you would reference that when there is only ONE lefty in their line-up.

Thanks for any insight, I just dont want to be on the play for the wrong reasons. Thanks.

I don't mind at all! I saw your comment in NYMets609's thread. The reason is not what you thought in terms of Kershaw against the predominantly right handed line-up of the Phillies, but rather because I don't think they will be able to hit him and their line-up is short at the bottom. Meanwhile, the Dodgers line-up tonight has far more weapons against Blanton that can do damage.

BTW, SportsOptions just now reported steam on Philadelphia as I'm writing this. Best of luck whatever you decide to do! :toast:

Congrats on 2-0 about to be 3-0 as long as Dodgers hold on! Having a great season after a rocky early start. Early on you were barely posting plays and i was badgering you about posting them. Glad things have worked out!

can thank Joes absolute disaster of managing a bullpen for that one. I don't even know what to say anymore.

OldmanTed doesn't dwell on losses. Wasted energy. Am I right?

Yep! Don't have control of what happens in the game. I've seen it all. Just move on to the next game and opportunity and have confidence in your ability to end up plus in the long term of this business. This is a marathon and not a sprint. There are hundreds of thousands of plays in a lifetime. This is only one. Next!

Coming off a (2-2)(+0.15) day winning with St. Louis/Cincinnati Under 7.5 (6-1) and Arizona (8-2) but losing on the L.A. Angels -1.5 (2-1) and Texas -1.5 (6-7) blowing a 6-1 lead. :ohno: Three plays for today.
Year To Date Record: (82-61-1)(+4.90)(57.34%)

5* (0-2)(-10.00)
3* (7-9)(-7.14)
2* (0-1)(-2.12)
1* (75-49-1)(+24.16)
1* New York Mets -1.5 (+150) 5Dimes
1* Boston/Toronto Over 9 (-115) Betjamaica
1* L.A. Dodgers (-124) 5Dimes

Good luck everyone!

Ted

I was on the Dodgers myself, was one of the worst melt downs I have ever seen by entire team & imo Torre proved how over rated a manager he really is. How could Torre not have any one warming in the bull pen when Broxton showed he did not have it after facing 3 batters, ughhhhhh......
