Ted..thanks for the reply a couple of days ago. You're a class act and a good capper. About the Cardinal run line...I'm crossing my fingers for you and it'll probably work out fine with Zag-Nut pitching for the Cubs. Only thing I'd worry about with the run line is that 28% of the Cardinal wins at home have been by 1 run. I realize that it's redundant to say again but...better than 1 of every 4 home have been 1-runners. Honestly, I think they win by 3 today but thought I'd add that just for a little extra to consider if you haven't already pulled the trigger.

Can't do it Kevy! Really feel the Padres have a big edge in this one today. Yesterday was a toss up going in, but in this one, Bumgarner is still young and learning how to ptich. The runline kinda scares me cause carpenter's recent starts vs the cubs were all by 1 run if you look below and the cubs also lead the league in 1 run games just throwing that out there

As for the Mets, they faced Halladay in his last start in Philadelphia and he went 7 innings, gave up 9 hits, 5 earned runs, 0 home runs, walked 1, struckout 10 while throwing 111 pitches. He has appeared tired to me starting just before the all-star break. Misch, a left hander, comes in from Buffalo (AAA) having an 11-4 record in 23 starts, a 3.23 ERA in 150.2 IP, giving up 150 hits, 54 earned runs, 11 home runs, 25 walks, 99 strikeouts and a 1.15 WHIP. The way this depleted Phillie line-up is unable to score runs, you might just have something there on the Under. Best of luck whatever you decide my friend! :toast:

id be flattered if i am somewhat responsible for
a) calling your attention to the mets here
b) my handicapping and analysis of the way these 2 teams are going sent u in this direction
either way, i have consulted your thread many a time to see your reasoning, to either keep me from making a mistake, or to confirm what i thought......or perhaps open my eyes to something i didnt know......id like to think you sometimes feel the same bout me....lol
