ted, i got down on memphis last night and im sure glad that they won.. for tonight i like the Hoya's -1.5 at home.. rest of card is in nhl forum, let me know what you think..

on a side note, a very big ladies matchup tonight, at least its big around here as i live in Tenn.. Tenn vs. Conn, check it out this should be highly entertaining as Gino comes to knoxville.. Oly has it lined at UT-6, i may watch it but wont wager..

Glad you got down on the Tigers last night. Almost bumped it to a 3* play but stayed cautious. The way it played out, I'm glad I did as Pitino had a great game plan and almost pulled it out.

Like your play on the Hoyas as I had a lean on them as well. As for Duke, this is one of those games that you have another conference home underdog in a rival game with Carolina which makes it tough for me to select a side. Good luck on your ML parlay with the Blue Devils.

As for women's hoops, I basically am generally aware of the top 3 or 4 programs for the past years, particularly Tennessee and Connecticut. Should be entertaining. Like you, no wagering though.

SSI;

I took a long hard look at the Spurs and like them as well. Don't know if I'll post a play on them but definitely consider them as more than a lean. I am out too for awhile.

Ted , I also like the play but I am always concerned when the line moves down and the consensus is still on Arizona...This type of move is not a very common one, at least since I have been following CBB this year...Any other thoughts on this?

The line moved only a half point early today, down from some shops and up from others. I don't consider that a significant move but an understandable one as Cal is improving and Arizona has not been a world beater on the road. Also, conference home underdogs have been doing very well of late, particularly this rivalry week. But, this is not a rivalry. Cal's rival is Stanford. Although I am least comfortable when playing a conference road favorite, in this particular circumstance, I feel the Cats are significantly superior in talent and experience and beat Cal earlier by 20 at home. More so, the tempo will be, not fast, but slightly uptempo as Cal is not a team that slows the ball down dramatically. This plays into the Cats hands with superior team speed and athletes. Cal's young freshman Powe didn't play in the first meeting and is a man child but the Bears have a relatively young team with only a couple of older players. Unless the line move is very significant, I don't normally get concerned. That seems to be the case here. It would not surprise me to see the line move in Arizona's favor as game time approaches. Good luck whatever you decide and with all your plays.

Don't do this very often. Adding:

North Carolina +4.5

Have edited my original thread to reflect the addition. Been watching the large conference home underdogs cover at a significant rate this rivalry week as well as previously and although I do believe that Duke would win this game relatively handily on a neutral court, laying 4.5 in Carolina is asking a lot. Understand that UNC has had difficulty as of late, but at home, in this circumstance, with decent talent of their own to put on the court, the number seems high to me. Thus the late play.

Good Luck All.

Glad to see you added that late play...In reference to the line move, I thought I had noticed that the line was -5 on Wednesday and then opened at -3 on Thursday...Then moved back to 3.5 and 4 in some places, as you mentioned...My only concern was that my book said no money was bet on Cal at that time and I was considering them a play based on this...When he wins, I usually win, when I'm on his side....Arizona just didn't look like the same team that plays at home...Thanks for your input and response...
