Been thinking a great deal about this particular game. First, Arizona State is a decent offensive football team led by QB Walters but also have improved significantly from last year defensively. That being said, they are not nearly as good as Cal is offensively, either at quarterback or running back and defensively, they rank behind Cal. I am using Cal as the measurement for what to expect today. USC even when outgained by Cal 400+ yards to 200+ yards, still held Cal's offense to 17 points. Meanwhile the Trojans won the game primarily because of a fumbled punt early giving them a short 30 yard field leading to a 7-0 lead and later a fumbled punt recovered on the Cal 15 yard line as well as an 85 yard kick-off return setting up another short field. Point is that the Trojans were dominated offensively by Cal but still held the Bears to 17 points and continue to hold their opposition to low point totals even when giving up yardage. Fully expect Trojans to be able to stop the Walters led offense as it does not compare to the Rodgers, Arrington led Cal offense. That being said, offensively the Trojans have lost their most experienced wide receiver and thus expect them to turn a bit more to star RB Bush and then use play action. With a much improved Arizona State defense, expect the Trojans to not light up the scoreboard either. Thus, feeling here is that the total on this game is too high. Hence,
1* Arizona State/USC Under 52.5
