hey ted, 3-0 in NHL & 1-0 in NBA yesterday,

as you know posting my best bets was an experiment for me...I want to see if I can hit a higher percentage on my own with my best bets only...in reality I bet more than what I post here cauz I follow some other guys in here whom I respect...the experiment is far from over as 1/3 of a season means nothing in the long run however so far (touch wood) so good. Thing is I simply do not have time to Cap NCAAB however I love to play it...this is where the RX comes in handy...

Good luck on Boston sir...

OLY + 5.5 currently & Pinny + 5 so you got a good line....I only have OLY & Pinny Fundred right now otherwise I would be able to get + 6.

I thought of you when I woke up this morning & saw the raptors line + 9, as you see I was thinking of them last night + 10 (& obviously others were aswell)...I failed to pull the trigger & now I am left with a lousy 9 (maybe 9.5)

I am wondering wether I should try to remove the 'forecasting' of the line movement out of muy handicapping & take a position similar to yours, if I like the line, bet it...dont get all worked up the way it will move...

THing is though, sometimes I am right...& when I am obviouslt it feels good...

Congratulations on your sweep yesterday. Not easy to do. I had a 3-0 sweep as well yesterday but did not make them official releases to the forum but posted two of them in SSI's college hoops thread and the third one was opposite his selection in the Missouri Valley Championship and I felt it inappropriate to post an opposite side in his thread as I respect him too much. Just a note, today I have one play in college hoops which again I will not be making an official release and that is in the Horizon Championship. I am taking the game to go Over 143.5.

As for your discussion on when to move on a line. This is very subjective. You know my policy is to take the number when I am comfortable with the line regardless of time of day. Sometimes I get the best of the line, sometimes not. But, I never look back at what might have been. This business is tough enough to just pick winning sides let alone question when should you make your play. Everyone is different. Do what is best for you, but don't beat yourself up about not getting the best line everytime because that just isn't possible. Last, the reason I am comfortable taking the line when I do is because my years of experience has helped me anticipate which direction a line may move. Obviously, I am not correct all the time to be sure, but I am correct a decent amount of the time to conclude when it is appropriate for me to move in and take the number.

Best of luck tonight with your plays.

Ted, Do you think the Celtics can win this game outright? I could use a nice ML Dog.

Thanks & GL

In the NBA, on any given night, the underdog can win outright. It is very rare for me to take the moneyline as I am old school but that doesn't mean I'm right. I like when my play is a dog as I have two ways to win, outright or stay within the number. I like that cushion of having the points. Just a personal preference that has worked for me.

As for the game, like the way the Celtics are currently playing and feel the number is too high in this situation. Recognize that the Knicks have won all three meetings this year, but these two teams are battling for a playoff spot and are neck and neck with each other, making this an even more important game. I like the Celtics to keep this game close and possibly win outright. Good luck on whatever you decide to do tonight.

Thanks Ted. I agree with your pick. I'll probably make a smaller ML play as a bonus. Let's bring this one home!

Thanks! Glad we could all share in the win together. Nice to see a moneyline winner as well. Best of luck to you in your future plays.
